We took Project 6G to its first tack day to get some baseline of the car in stock form, before we start doing our thing. The results were both Surprising and amazing! The S550 is for real! Myself and NASA Mustang driver Terry Fair of Vorshlag, were completely floored by the cars stock performance. We were both able to lap between 2.5-4 second a lap faster then ant Boss 302 we have tested! (Terry even drove them back to back)! I can not wait to make it even better!

My impression has been an MX5 race car with too much power. Control of shock damping will make these cars dominate.

Wow...those numbers are insane! 2.5-4 seconds is an eternity. Kudos to Ford for building a badass street machine.

What do newer Camaros -- specifically, of the 1LE variety -- typically run at this track? I'm just curious.

Honestly, I do not know. Believe it or not we see very few Camaros at our track days and HPDE events. We have built a bunch of 650-1000rwhp 5th gens, but most of them run at the 1/4 mile or Texas Mile events. Their biggest problem at North Texas tracks would be the weight, power and handling are probably pretty close.

Thanks for the quick response. In a roundabout way, I was sort of wanting to get your take on the whole Mustang GT PP vs. Camaro 1LE rigaramor that transpired following the release of Motor Trend's comparison.

I agree. I have taken it on the track 3 times. Only problem with this car is I can not find where to put a tow hock which is supposed to be required on tracks. Have you guys found a place?

I am working on a kit that will attach to the front bumper "rebar" and come out of the lower grill. Trying to make it work without drilling a hole in the front bumper.

I am thinking of putting one behind the license plate in the back.

Please pm me when you have the tow ring rig ready. I am doing some track days next year that require a tow hook.
Thanks.
