Good idea. I feel like nobody knows anything.Thats definitely interesting, you might want to confirm with ford to see if what the dealer is saying is true.

That's bizarre. If you look at the Ford Parts catalog online, all the parts are there. Not sure if this is the correct part, but this bumper is on backorder:Sales guy finally updated me today. After originally telling me the parts for my new bumper would arrive on Friday, he now says they “don’t have parts made for it yet” (HUH?) and they don’t know when they will. Does that just mean all the bumpers in existence are intended for new builds? Also says it will come from ford already painted after previously telling me it won’t come painted. Anyone with any experience with this sort of thing have an input? Does any of that make any sense?
Should I open a ticket with Ford? I don’t actually own the car though...
I know the dealer is doing all they can, but this is just silly.
Ah, thanks for that link. The whole backorder thing checks out. Darn. That's bizarre. If you look at the Ford Parts catalog online, all the parts are there. Not sure if this is the correct part, but this bumper is on backorder:

If it were me, I would maybe contact a Ford Parts dealership like Tasca and see if you can actually order the parts, then escalate it with Ford if you can.
I don't think you can do much if you don't own the car. Let the dealer take care of everything but also come up with a plan to cut your losses in terms of waiting around for the car to be fixed. I am in a similar situation and the car should be ready to be delivered this week, but I decided that I'll move on to other options if the car is not ready and we don't complete the paperwork before the check from my credit union expires.Sales guy finally updated me today. is there any other cars on their lot or close by that are spec'd out the way you want in case this one takes too long? Thanks for the feedback, all. Just comes down to how long I’m willing to wait, I suppose.
Unfortunately, no. I have found a couple just in case, though. They’re both about 7 hours away each, but I’ll go down that road if I decide I want to.is there any other cars on their lot or close by that are spec'd out the way you want in case this one takes too long?
You can make your dealer get a car from any of those dealers if need be, they would just do a dealer trade, but I would have them trailer it rather than drive it.. you can use that as leverage maybe to get them to either fix yours or get you a different oneUnfortunately, no. Funny, I got the same response when I checked with FP today. Ground transport as of 4/11. My EDD was 4/17 and now COTUS says it is 'removed', we'll see if everything works out.Still not sure when I will receive mine. Just got off chat with FP and no movement since 4/11. FP said it was cleared for ground transport on 4/11 with the current status saying pending update since the EDD has passed.
