Congratulations my friend. Mine is scheduled to be in by Friday also. I was by the dealer last week for the air bag recall, and reminded my sales guy of my wishes. Now, if he will just remember.

Looks neat, but I would assume you have to front the entire bill? Seems like it can get expensive.

They can get expensive for sure. I know we won't keep ours past 6 years, so if I decide I'll just go with the 6/48 premium care plan. I don't worry so much about the mechanical things in the car, the electronics are my main concern.

Yes, the status generally changes to "Awaiting shipment" in 2 days. Unless you car is held for additional checks/inspection.

Mine was "in production" for over a week and a half... they must've checked the hell out of my car! Hopefully that means I'm getting a good one!

Your actual build date may be different than your blend date. Your build date could be your blend date or a day or two later. You won't actually know until you receive your Mustang and look on the side of the door.

Cotus countdown still said two days to go when the dealer called and said come get it! Fortunately the dealer prep was nice - delivered with front license plate bracket in the trunk:ford:

Still not sure when I will receive mine. Just got off chat with FP and no movement since 4/11. FP said it was cleared for ground transport on 4/11 with the current status saying pending update since the EDD has passed.

Wow, seems like there's a mis-communication somewhere although the normal process of lining up shipping is stated to take up to a week. Did FP say they would provide a transport tracking # when available? Best wishes on getting the process moving again!

No, they didn't say anything about transport tracking number. I will have to ask next time. What's weird is I checked last Thursday I believe and FP said it was on a truck on 4/11 passing through Benicia. Benicia is north of the rail yard it came in at. That Thursday I checked, there hadn't been any more movement.

Sales guy finally updated me today. After originally telling me the parts for my new bumper would arrive on Friday, he now says they “don’t have parts made for it yet” (HUH?) and they don’t know when they will. Does that just mean all the bumpers in existence are intended for new builds? Also says it will come from ford already painted after previously telling me it won’t come painted. Anyone with any experience with this sort of thing have an input? Does any of that make any sense?

Should I open a ticket with Ford? I don’t actually own the car though...

I know the dealer is doing all they can, but this is just silly.

Thats definitely interesting, you might want to confirm with ford to see if what the dealer is saying is true.
