Surprise- shifts smoother than the audi it replaced
Disappointments- floor mats are tiny and seat release on back of seats don't work
Otherwise I love this car! Far exceeded my expectations!

Surprises (from a GT Premium owner who drove an '07 GT until last Monday):
- All the "tech." Granted, if they hadn't included it, I may not have missed any of the new stuff, but the the center stack, the Nav, and the BLIS are pretty cool. I feel like I'm driving a Ruby Red Batmobile at times (although I can't wait till the spring to leave the phone at home, turn off the radio, roll down the windows, and just drive her for a 100 or so miles).
- Throttle response and acceleration under all driving conditions. With a 100hp bump over my old car, I wasn't sure about the extra power--would I feel it/need it/be overwhelmed? Yes/no/no. Very responsive. Free revving. Very quick when I want her to be quick, smooth and easy when I want to/need to take it easy. I knew the new car would be quicker, but I thought I'd miss the old grunt and pull of the old one. Nope...more growl than grunt, but the new car provides the pull in spades. Sport Mode is awesome. Exactly how I want a car to drive under normal conditions. I thought the Selectable Driving Modes may have been more placebo than anything else, but there's a real difference there.
- New suspension. Handles bumps under acceleration so much better than my old car. Holy crap. It may take a while to lose my old driving habits, but I can be a lot more aggressive with this car while turning with my foot on the gas.

Disappointments
- Unlike the original Mustang, this one doesn't have six .50 cal machine guns to blast the idiots in front of me. Doesn't matter what I'm driving, but if I'm stuck behind some butthead in a minivan or Prius who's more concerned with his cellphone or brats in the back rather than driving, there's not much I can do but to sit back, watch, and react if I have to.
- Vibration in the shifter. Not constant but I can feel it at idle and while driving at times. Ford couldn't flesh that out before production? Yikes.
- Premium's stereo is a little finicky in terms of sound quality. It's a good thing I'm not into seat-thumping bass. Easy enough to hear Geddy Lee's clang on the bass, Miles'/Coltrane's/Adderley's solos on So What, but nothing that hit me in the chest or the ass. Even the sound quality on the Sirius XM has been uneven. Nothing overly muddy, but it almost sounds compressed depending on the song and station.
- The grippy rubber material in the cup holders and in front of the center stack is grippy. It grips dust and lint really well. Yeah Ford can't win on that one...either it's hard plastic or rubber, either way, someone will complain.

One final disappointment? Not enough hours in the day to drive her. Just a pleasure to drive. Ford designed the 2015 Mustang GT Premium, 401A, Nav, non-PP, just for me. Yeah, try to tell me different, but I know better. :)
The Sirius stream is very compressed. Music sounds horrible on Sirius. I can only listen to talk radio on it.

idk if any one said this already, but I found a rather annoying feature on mine. The fog lights operate in a pretty dumb way.

1. If my lights are switched to off. I cant turn my fog lights on. They also turn off when switching the light switch to "off". This is perfectly fine in its self and helps keep you from forgetting to turn off your fog lights separately.
2. When you turn your light's back to any one position, the fog lights stay turn back off. They do not return to the last state you had them set to.
3. If you have turned on your fog lights successfully and turn on your turn signal, the fog light under that turn signal lamp shuts off. (I can live with that i guess)
4. If you have your fog lights turned on and then turn on your brights, your fog lights turn off. They do come back on when you turn your brights back off though.
5. If you leave your automatic headlights on and turn on he fog lights, they will remain on when the lights turn back on automatically. (Good) However, when you turn off the car, even before the headlights turn off, the fog lights when turn off. (...why? but ok).

Basically, when I turn my fog lights on, I want them to stay on until I turn them off or turn the lights completely off. Having every little thing I do with my lights turn off my fog lights is EXTREMELY annoying. I may have to find a way to tweak this. Probably jumper them to the headlights since at the very least I want them always on when i have headlights on.

Just got my Ecoboost premium with PP, automatic, last week.

First the disappointments:

Despite sitting at Flat Rock for an month plus for extra inspections my passenger's side door doesn't fit quite right. It's not bad mind you, just annoying that extra inspections didn't fix it. The rest of the fit on the car is flawless.

The premium stereo is a bit of a let-down for me too. HD and regular radio sound great actually, but music on Sirius is pretty damn bad. I'll have to fiddle with it more to see if I can find a sweet spot.

But other than that I can't possibly say how much I love this car. My previous car was a 2013 V6 Mustang and they are absolutely totally different cars.

Biggest surprises for me:

Just how much better the Ecoboost is compared to the 3.7 V6. While only 5 more horsepower it seems more like 50 to me with the 3.55 rear end and extra torque.

I knew it'd be a better drive but I'm stunned at how much better. It's so much more nimble and composed.

I'm also very impressed at how much better the interior is and that it only seems more so every time I drive it. The improvement in quality is great.

I figured I'd enjoy my 2015 more than my 2013 but not this much.

After test driving a 15 GT I was blown away by how different the cars are coming from a 14 V6 (besides the increase in power). I did not want to get back into my 14 again haha.

I think I will be quite happy with mine when it comes in, but I was already disappointed with the color options to an extent. I also would have liked to seen the toggle switches as standard equipment but having track apps on all models is awesome! Also the lack of a PP option with the automatic GT's is a bit disappointing.

+1, I think. I haven't had the time to figure the lights out yet, but at very least they don't seem to be user friendly.

Sirius sound quality is awful these days. Overdone compression + heavily clipped top and bottom ends + painfully audible artifacts + stereo mixes flattened to near mono = subscription canceled.

I knew it wasn't just me. Now that I think about it I remember really having to fiddle with the radio in my 2013 to get Sirius to a point where it was listenable. I'll use up my 6 free months and decide whether or not to keep it then.

Another surprise I thought of is just how much I love never having to take the key out of my pocket. Especially for the trunk. Having the little button down near the license plate is such and awesome idea you ask yourself why the heck it took them so long to put them on a car. As usual my salesman had no idea about that feature and it blew him away. Same goes for the pony projection lamps. It never fails to amaze me how much more informed we all seem to be in relation to the people that actually sell them.

And yeah, having to hit the fog light button to turn them on all the time is a bit of an annoyance, but I figure it's more of a matter of forming a new habit every time you turn your lights on. I prefer the old method of pulling the knob out in my 2013. Though you have to admit the controls themselves are way higher quality.

Agree on the sound now that I've been able to compare with local FM and HD stations. Too bad for me. I liked the music choices and really liked the commercial free aspect. Back to the Sony MP3 player for me. Not perfect but acceptable for my non-audiophile ears.

If you turn them on while you have auto lights selected, they should pop on whenever the auto lights decide it's dark enough outside.

Mine do that anyways..

What? After turning my fog lights on manually the 1st time, and leaving them turned on when I turned the headlights off, they now come on whenever the headlights are turned on. Doesn't matter if I turn them on manually of via the auto function, when the headlights are on the foglights are on. It's easy to see - if the headlight light on the dash is lit the foglamp light on the dash is lit.

Huh, I seriously have to turn mine back on every time. I've yet to try auto lights.

I'll have to fiddle with it again tomorrow and see if maybe I'm just being dumb.

One other minor disappointment for me is losing the halo around the gauges my 2013 had. It's still very nice to be able to change the gauge color but I sure miss being able to set the halo one color and the main face of the gauge a contrasting color. Last Christmas for example I set the halo to green and the rest to red. People riding with me loved it.

Abysmally written order guides and owner manuals. (Can ANYBODY find any reference to the locking center console, different alarm modes and more?)
Not making optional spare tires available across the board.
Leaving automatic drivers shortchanged with a conventional, rather than a Torsen limited slip differential despite being the better of the two transmission offerings by far.
Inexplicably omitting reverse sensors and adaptive cruise from Limited Edition cars.
Manual and non-heated or cooled $1,500 Recaros available in basically one color ("contrast stitching doesn't count).
Inability to combine many packaged and freestanding options.
Ignoring the trend toward non-gearshift transmissions and toward automatics and automated dual-clutch numbers by not offering one on ANY hi-po trim to date.

And this gripe comes more from my seat as a shareholder, Ford's failure to allow more customers the opportunity to pay a premium to get what they want? Sure, confining the ability to combine an automatic with the Performance Pack to Limited Edition cars is a way to make some of the LE cars more special by giving them a unique capability (though how many actually would use an LE for their track car?) and to squeak every last bit of fleet wide fuel economy under the CAFE regs by restricting them to a manual. So, since Ford already did the work to combine them on LE cars, why not charge a steep premium that manages the mix for you while reaping substantial additional profits from those who'd gladly pay it? Good Lord. Ford could earn more free and clear from a single option on a Mustang than a PAIR of fleet Fiestas - without needing to build one more car, buy one more robot or pay a single additional worker? Clearly, the consequences of Detroit's 2009 implosion weren't enough to do away with the insular and inbred "car think" that runs so ride through the domestic auto sector. Such is the reason an airplane builder could come in and put right so many things so quickly. But not even he could scratch the surface of the cultural change that's needed in just seven years.

Generally, notwithstanding how dramatically improved a product S550 is versus S197, much remains Ford very typically behaving like it wants to identify just how badly it can neglect its most loyal customer base short of actually driving them away.

^^^ Well put.

As I've said elsewhere, it pisses me off big time that I can't order leather on a base GT. I have no interest in the other Premium fluff. Zero.

And those stupid f'ing all-black PP wheels.....give us a non-fashion-lemming option already.
