My trunk does
I think it may be that the weatherstripping and insulation are so snug it just hangs. If I open and close it repeatedly it pops up a little, but not so much the first time and not as much as my 2011 Mustang. I just kinda wish it would spring open like my Dad's Buick.

Surprise: 1. Just how nice the interior is overall. 2. The exterior looks amazing in person.

Disappointment: 1. Despite that top notch interior, I'd hope the premium interior with premium trip would have seat covers that were just a wee bit more snug in the sitting area. 2. No other disappointments so far!

I think my only disappointment is the "premium" stereo. 9 speakers doesn't mean a lot when there's no bottom end whatsoever. Otherwise, LOVE this car!

I found the best way to make the Shaker sound better; listen to an even worse sounding stereo for awhile. Im driving a loaner Edge and the stereo is terrible. Its so bad it makes me realize the Shaker isnt as bad as I thought it was.

Being 75 degrees in the DFW area... coming out of the gym, the premium seats with a/c definitely has the cool butt factor! Seat back works great compared to what some people have mentioned.. for the record, there are three levels first one is high, 2 more presses brings the level down.... that also includes heat

It actually sounds great... tinkering with the treble, bass, and mid range as well as the fade n balance... I use the all seats setting since it seems to sound better compared to the driver setting

On the trunk latch area there are 2 spring loaded covers, when the trunk closes it pushes those covers down and allows the trunk lid to latch, when released... I think those covers actually push the trunk lid up

Subjective. It sucks....but again not as bad as the base stereo in the edge, but also nowhere near as good as the one in my last car.

I barely have the sound at 25% it is friggin loud.... crisp and most of the time I am using Bluetooth from the phone with almost 50 gigs of music from mp3 with the best sample rates. Awesome bass... well, everything though using radio, kinda limited except for the hd stations... those sound really good as well as the Sirius

I have the GT premium stereo and can't believe people are whining this much about the stereo is such an awesome car. I am pleasantly surprised how much traction can be scavenged from 235 tires. I am pleased how squirrely it gets while shoving me back in the seat even with traction control on. I read on here how the gages go red at redline but tonight was the first time I hit the redline in 3rd on a 2 lane backroad and it kind of surprised me and made me smile at the same time. I have driven some other very respectable modified muscle cars but really like this Mustang. My son has named the two projection horses Rocky and Dash. We both love those.

What I love: like everyone says, this car looks stunning in person. The interior is very well done and the premium seats are very comfortable. In sport settings for everything, the paddle shifters are responsive and the fun factor driving it goes up to giddy level. The handling is tight and road feel is great. The fit and finish is flawless. The pony lights are large and fun. I really like the looks of the 50th package. Surprises and/or issues: premium radio is mediocre but best with a cd, I tried to change the seat back with power seats and realized that it is done with a manual lever, the sound of the ecoboost will take some getting used to, I'm not sure I like it, the car looks wider and sleeker in person, the all weather floor mats aren't in stock yet, the screen sucks up fingerprints like an FBI agent, and it went blank one day after delivery so I had to make a trip back to the dealer to get it looked at (the service guy got it working but says it is defective). Overall a great car for the money!

Surprises (from a GT Premium owner who drove an '07 GT until last Monday):
- All the "tech." Granted, if they hadn't included it, I may not have missed any of the new stuff, but the the center stack, the Nav, and the BLIS are pretty cool. I feel like I'm driving a Ruby Red Batmobile at times (although I can't wait till the spring to leave the phone at home, turn off the radio, roll down the windows, and just drive her for a 100 or so miles).
- Throttle response and acceleration under all driving conditions. With a 100hp bump over my old car, I wasn't sure about the extra power--would I feel it/need it/be overwhelmed? Yes/no/no. Very responsive. Free revving. Very quick when I want her to be quick, smooth and easy when I want to/need to take it easy. I knew the new car would be quicker, but I thought I'd miss the old grunt and pull of the old one. Nope...more growl than grunt, but the new car provides the pull in spades. Sport Mode is awesome. Exactly how I want a car to drive under normal conditions. I thought the Selectable Driving Modes may have been more placebo than anything else, but there's a real difference there.
- New suspension. Handles bumps under acceleration so much better than my old car. Holy crap. It may take a while to lose my old driving habits, but I can be a lot more aggressive with this car while turning with my foot on the gas.

Disappointments
- Unlike the original Mustang, this one doesn't have six .50 cal machine guns to blast the idiots in front of me. Doesn't matter what I'm driving, but if I'm stuck behind some butthead in a minivan or Prius who's more concerned with his cellphone or brats in the back rather than driving, there's not much I can do but to sit back, watch, and react if I have to.
- Vibration in the shifter. Not constant but I can feel it at idle and while driving at times. Ford couldn't flesh that out before production? Yikes.
- Premium's stereo is a little finicky in terms of sound quality. It's a good thing I'm not into seat-thumping bass. Easy enough to hear Geddy Lee's clang on the bass, Miles'/Coltrane's/Adderley's solos on So What, but nothing that hit me in the chest or the ass. Even the sound quality on the Sirius XM has been uneven. Nothing overly muddy, but it almost sounds compressed depending on the song and station.
- The grippy rubber material in the cup holders and in front of the center stack is grippy. It grips dust and lint really well. Yeah Ford can't win on that one...either it's hard plastic or rubber, either way, someone will complain.

One final disappointment? Not enough hours in the day to drive her. Just a pleasure to drive. Ford designed the 2015 Mustang GT Premium, 401A, Nav, non-PP, just for me. Yeah, try to tell me different, but I know better. :)

Those other guys that has the sound so loud that homes they pass
SHOOT at them will not be able to hear very good in a few years
after BLOWING THE HAIRS OFF OF THEIR EAR DRUMS at a LOUD
VOLUME.
