I was able to make the factory Pony center caps fit the front wheels with little modifications (GT w/ PP for reference). Cut the tabs off flush holding the Pony on; I glued it back on with super glue. Then shaved 1/16-1/8" off the clips. It sits flush now no problem.

Did you have to wrap tape around the caps to get them to stay put? I've read a few posts where people have said they needed it.

I replied to your private message. But I'll answer here for the benefit of others.
No I didn't add any tape. They fit tight enough for me. In fact it was quite difficult getting them pushed into the hole. Had to use a plastic pry tool to push in one of some of the tabs. Once they were in, they didn't spin.

Or you could use the GT350 caps with no modification needed. Excuse the dirty tires and brake caliper. This was taken just after they were installed.

$12 a piece and free shipping. They are satin black and not gloss, but they blend very well and I would imagine a little shiny applicant of some type would do the trick if they bother you.

Are these rims lighter than the performance pack rims ? I heard that the PP rims are heavy compared to most other rims

I weighed the SVE's and the 19x10 = 23.6lbs and 19x11 = 25.0lbs. I still have my tires mounted on the PP wheels, so can't weigh just the wheels. However, the "What things weigh thread" lists them at about 32.5lbs and believe I have seen some postings around 33.5lbs for the rear.

For the tires, I went with 275/35/19 and 305/35/19 MPSS and at least according to tirerack.com, they weigh the same as the stock 255/40/19 and 275/40/19.

Wow 8lbs is quite a lot when its unsprung weight !! Did you notice a different feel when you drove the car ? I am sure its more nimble

Definitely a difference. Feels much more nimble and lighter on it's feet. Not sure if it is a placebo affect, the tires, the wheels or all of the above, but it was more of an affect then I expected!

Here is someone else's view on reducing the wheel weight and changing tires:

Nice !! Thanks for the link too, thats pretty much what I expected to read. I have a potential deal set up for this weekend to trade my PP wheels plus a little cash for a 20x10 MMR GT350 set up.

I saw that the 20x10 staggered set up with Nitto G2's has a 305/30 for the rear tire. Does anyone have a picture of that? I want to buy them, just a little nervous how a 305/30 will fit in a 10 inch rim. I don't really want to go to a 305/35 because how tall the tire is.
