  1. Here’s what my oil looks like at 4000 miles

Put it in a clear container and dipped a sheet of inkjet photo paper in it and let it run off. Currently using Mag1 full synthetic. My initial oil change after buying new was at 900 miles and was surprised how dark it was then. I’ve never had an engine turn oil dark this fast. I’ll just change...
  2. BMW 8 Series looks a lot like Mustangs

It starts at $112,000 though, LOL! I thought my sticker price was high!
  3. Another great oil article from machine lubrication

https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/31395/engine-oils-filters How do you all like what it says about the taxi cab tests? I didn’t know synthetic blends can not contain more than 30% synthetic oil. More info is always good!
  4. Went with 17” wheels, taller sidewalls, smoother ride

Bought these Sport Edition A9 17” silver painted wheels. Took off factory 19” polished wheels and terrible riding Perreli P Zero Nero tires. Rides much better now, quieter and getting 3-4 mpg better gas mileage. Yes, I’m older and want a better ride. Not worried about how fast I can take a...
  5. Article says turbo engines should change oil at 3000 miles

5th paragraph down is where the article says this. Very good article whether you agree with that or not. I’m sure 3000 is the safest for your car and keeps the engine bay cleanest. https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/562/oil-change-filter-sensors
  6. Nice article on LSPI oil solutions

I still have some Mag1 Full Synthetic that is not API SN Plus that I have to use up. About five-5 qt jugs. I will be using them in my 2.3 ecoboost Mustang and the wife’s 2.0 ecoboost Escape. I will post an article showing Mag1 is going all API SN Plus. This first article is almost a year old...
  7. Anybody change oil filter half way through oil changes?

To help keep things cleaner in the engine. Also, does anybody know if I do that will much oil spill out from the oil not being drained or does the oil pan hold all of the oil in an Ecoboost? So, let’s say I change the oil every 8000 miles and plan on changing the oil filter out at 4000-5000...
  8. Brand new 2018 Ecoboost rides like a roller coaster

the 2011 with 18” wheels rode much smoother I traded in. This new car has 19” wheels with those horrible perrelli p zero Nero all season tires on them. It’s the perfect name for them as they deserve a zero out of 10 for ride quality. Yes, they hug the road and respond fast but, I want a smooth...
  9. Automatic Sync Updates not working

It sees a download, tries to download, stops, says scan incomplete, try again when convenient. Tried many times with same message. I even tried a Master Reset in the General section. All that did was wipe out my Favorites Destinations and my paired iPhone. Has anyone gotten this automatic update...
  10. Mixing 0W20 with 5W30 oil in the 2018 Ecoboost

I was using Mag1 Fully Synthetic 0W20 in the 2011 V6 Mustang convertible I traded in for the new 2018 Ecoboost. It was terrific oil Better than Mobil 1 and any other I’ve tried. I am going to buy some Mag1 full synthetic 5W30 as recommended but, want to blend it about 50/50 with 5W20. Any oil...
