I wasn't crazy about Lightning Blue at first. The first one I saw had the basic 18" wheels and didn't pop. I almost ordered Race Red until I saw LB with the Black Accent package. That color combo changes the whole look of the convertible. I took delivery on 4/30.
My '14 GT 'vert was black, and as beautiful as that car was, I vowed no more dark colors, especially black.
When I was getting ready to order my '18 GT 'vert in early February, I avoided dark colors like Magnetic, Kona, and Royal Crimson. But I didn't even care for LB so I was planning on Race...
Unless you collect through your insurance company and they just happen to one of carriers that does report to Carfax regularly. A police report isn't required to file a claim.
I retired from auto insurance claims after 34 years in the biz. At one time most insurance companies had the personnel to report car accidents to Carfax. Generally speaking it was first party claims that were reported....i.e those customers who filed under their own collision coverage. Most...
Bullitt in a convertible? Here's the proof....
Meet Bullitt, my 7 year old Sheltie rescue. I adopted him the day after I ordered my '18 rag top in the first week of February.
I personally don't think that stripes suit the design of the S550, except of course a GT350 and whatever the GT500 ends up looking like.
The S197 however, begged for stripes.
I don't know if I'd call them tonneau covers....that usually refers to a cover (hard or soft) that goes over the bed of a truck, or one that covers the entire back seat of a convertible similar to some 60's Thunderbirds.
Those are caps that hide the exposed convertible top mechanism when the...
I have an '18 GT with the 400A package which includes My Color. When I try to set the colors, my display says it can't be done in the daytime. However, I've tried it at night and get the same message.
Any ideas?
I'm assuming that 'normal' mode on the active exhaust is what a non AE equipped Mustang sounds like. If so, it's fairly throaty in it's own right. But unless you're planning to revamp the stock exhaust system, go for the active exhaust. Sport mode is worth it.
Prior to my recent 2018 'vert, my 2014 'vert saw a hose and soap just once a year in the spring, followed by clay prior to a paint correction with a DA, and the top never ever got soap. After the spring paint correction I used a rinse less wash and detail sprays on the sheet metal.

My '18 GT ragtop is a dry weather toy, top up or down. But the way the weather has been since I got it on 4/30 it's been a wet weather garaged toy.
Yup....Jersey weather sucks. A convertible is a roll of the dice here, but I wouldn't have a Mustang any other way.
I'm not questioning your knowledge, just the ignorance of your statement that anyone who buys new is an idiot like you admit you were.
We all have reasons for doing what we do. I'm well aware of depreciation as I'm sure everyone here is, and as I get closer to 70 I still want a new Mustang...
