I live in the Pacific Northwest, and we get a lot of rain. I tend to prefer some kind of synthetic floormat in my vehicles for that reason.
Some of the reviews I've read of the Weathertech floormats for the S550 say that they can get in the way of the clutch pedal to some small extent.
Has...
I bought the GT350 style shift knob for my S550.
What's a good way to time it so that the shift knob will be aligned properly and still screwed down as far as possible (without obstructing the reverse lockout)?
For now, I put a couple nylon washers on top of the shifter handle and shaved one...
I'm considering doing the resonator delete with an aftermarket axleback. I typically like to set myself up to re-install stock parts in the event that I sell the car.
Does an aftermarket H-Pipe (or X-pipe for that matter) sound hugely discernable from a stock resonator with the stock...
Ahh, I see. Since it doesn't seem like it would have resulted in a higher cost to attach the shifter to the transmission in the first place, why didnt Ford just do it that way from the factory?
There seem to be about a half dozen or so to choose from for these cars across the various manufacturers.
I've watched Youtube reviews from owners that have them, but does anybody have a synopsis about how the various short shifters compare against one another?
Do any of them give a...
How is that "useless?" I much prefer being able to see GPS from my periphery than having to look down at the head unit or wherever.
Different stroke for different folks, of course.
What do you guys use for a phone holder/mount? I currently use the Ram Mounts Quick-Grip with a suction mount that I mount to the windshield near the A-pillar.
It holds fine in the cooler months, but it sticks worse in when its hot.
Any model of holder you guys like?
What mounting...
I ended up telling them to piss up a rope when the finance guy was insistent on running a credit application.
I ended up buying one from a different dealer for about $400 less. The topic of a credit application never came up.
How is the stock shift knob on S550s (2023 in this case) fastened? Is there some kind of threadlocker/adhesive?
I have a shift knob from a Gen 5 I'd like to install, and from what I've ascertained, this is 12mm x 1.25. What's the thread size/pitch on the 6th gen?
I'm taking delivery of a 2023 GT soon. I think I might swap out the wheels/tires while the car has basically zero miles on, since I am going to re-sell the stock wheels/tires.
Does anybody know where I can find some photos of other S550s with different wheel/tire combinations?
What's the...
Looking for a tire recommendation. 2023 GT, will likely get a supercharger within the next year or so. Primarily just a fun DD, probably 5-10 trips down the drag strip per year, and some driving through the backroads.
I'd like to a nice sticky tire for the dry months, but also still safe to...
How do uses get their video off their dashcams, typically?
Does it constantly record and when you have an incident, you have to comb through all that video and export the timelines that you need?
Does anybody have a dash cam they can recommend that works well for them? Also, how did you mount/wire it? Did you go through the headliner? Through the dash? Tap into a circuit? Use OBD2?
Well no, it's not that "self explanatory" because in their FAQ it asks: "Will a Roush supercharger void my warranty?" and their answer is "No, that's the beauty of a Roush..."
I think a reasonable person could take this at face value to mean "I still have my Ford 5Year/60K warranty.
The laptop charges at something like 65watts and has a 45watt/hour battery. What's going to kill the battery is if I add a mobile router/dash cam that runs unabated with the engine off for a long period of time.
