I apologize for the long post in advance.
For you guys that have upgraded suspension for drag racing, how much did you gain ET wise? How much squat is too much with the IRS on the S550? Since they squat no matter what.
One thing I've noticed is, although I'm not getting wheel hop or spinning...
Awesome. Thanks. I have ARH long tubes with cat deletes and MBRP Street. I'm looking for something to quiet it down some. I knew what i was getting and don't expect to be super quiet. Just looking to quiet it down some. Smooth it out.
The first start up is the stock exhaust. I went catless...
Anyone out there running running the 3.75 pulley on their Whipple Gen 5? I'm just curious to see what times you are getting with your combo in what DA?
I haven't ran this combo in the 1/4th yet. My best 1/8th with this combo is 6.7 @109.4. It's consistent 6.7's. Just trying to see if I'm in the...
The first was 93 with a can of Torco on 3.875 pulley. 2nd is pump E85 with 3.75 pulley. Car also has long tubes with no cats, and MBRP Street Exhaust. Only reving to 7400 RPMS.
Yeah. I was using standard 5w20 up until a week ago. 24,000 miles with the tick and only 5w20. I figured I would of seen some sort of issues by now. I made a ton of passes stock and drove it hard. I’ve had the Whipple for over 3k miles. I honestly haven’t noticed a difference with the T6, but...
Yeah. What choice does one have really? Even with warranty Ford cannot fix it. I know people on their 3rd engine with the tick. I also know some with no cylinder scoring with the same tick. So the choices are to leave it at dealership for months without the issue being fixed or to drive and...
It’s the typical lower end tick/tap. The sound travels through the exhaust which makes it hard to pin point where it’s coming from. Had the whipple on it for 3,000 miles. It’s had 24,000 miles of abuse. Still no issues or metal in oil.
Actually it doesn’t whine at all. This gen of Whipple is quiet. I’m only running 3.75 pulley though. I would never hear the tick at WOT anyways. Only at idle. I can still hear it at idle, it’s just not as loud.
