I just bought a GT350 now what?

Two Weeks ago, I Sold my 2005 Mustang GT Premium (GT350 Tribute) I have always wanted a GT350, so I turned my 2005 into what I thought a GT350 would look like if it were a S197 Mustang.

2 weeks ago I had a chance to pickup an 2017 Shelby GT350, (H6088) Ruby Red, Black Stripes w/ white accents.
The Colors match Deadpool to thats what I call it ..

So now what?

And fwiw you are correct about the caution with all the LEO in NoVa. When you do decide to ‘stretch’ the legs recommend finding some non-residential backroads and driving them normally one-way, then turn it around & have a lil fun on the way back.

it was not bad, we have purchased all our cars from there.
they waved the ADM and we got it under MSRP..

If you want to drag race it like your old car I'd consider Steeda's stop the hop kit.

I stopped Drag Racing my 05 3 years ago, it's so hard on the car, and to tell you the truth my reaction time is not what it used to be. I ran the Car at VIR once for a Toys for tots "Holiday Laps" and I had a blast, but the 05 was not built for road racing.

Sounds like you need a laser / radar detector. That should be your first purchase. I lived in Richmond Virginia and the cops were ridiculous. I got a reckless driving ticket for going 20 over the speed limit cost me almost $800 to get out of it

But Radar Detectors are Illegal in Virginia..

The officer can take the device at his own discretion if he believes that he needs it as evidence.

And I have a TS Clearance and can't afford getting a reckless driving charge, I could loose my Clearance and my Job.

Well...it's not illegal to hard accelerate to the speed limit, right? As long as you aren't breaking the tires loose. Id's say if you go from a stop on an on-ramp you can catch 8250 a couple times.

You also could get a nice radar detector and cleverly hide it.

I drive like that normally so no change there..

I did not buy the wrong car, I live in the wrong state.
But at lease Virginia is somewhat Gun Friendly compared to Maryland.

I cant drive like I want in VA
but I can't Own the Guns I want in MD.

I stopped Drag Racing, I am 55 and my reaction time sucks, I watched over the years when I used to cut .001 lights to now .300-.500; so I am now interested in the road course style driving now.

Actually it is in a lot of states/cities. In MN it is called unnecessary or unreasonable acceleration or something like that and it is all subjective according to the officer.

It's a 4 hour drive to VIR, But I think I will be going to the June 9th Track Attack at Old Dominion Raceway

Jeez, I wish I lived only 4 hours from VIR. That is nothing. Sign up for a driving school with a good club (with good instructors) and go.
