I unloaded mine right as the standard warranty was about to expire. Really is sad, I liked the car, but not enough to deal with all the issues.
Swapped back to a BMW, 4 year warranty, free maintenance and if something goes wrong they give me a loaner no haggleing required.
I enjoyed my mustang, but the constant issues and dealer trips were becoming tiresome. My warranty was nearing its end, and I couldn't justify purchasing an extended warranty to offset poor engineering choices by Ford.
On top of that, my wife hatted driving it when I took her truck so I...
Got my car back yesterday from the evap repair. The glove box was damaged during the install, so they had to order a new one of those.
The worst part is my dash sounds like it has a canary trapped inside it. Every time you hit a bump it chirps, to say its irritating is an understatement.:(...
They did mine while it's in for the evap repair, didn't ask me, just did it. I can only imagine the state of the interior of that car when I pick it up. Door panels removed, interior dash and seats removed, everything electronic unplugged, I'll consider myself lucky if anything works. :(
You and me both, completely unacceptable. They tired to fix just about everything else before the evaporator. I can only guess that they were hoping that by the time, it crapped out again and I brought it back again, it would be out of warranty.
Yeah, I'm going back to German. I never had a problem with my Audi, and when I did they would throw a set of keys at me and tell me they would deliver my vehicle to my house when it was done and pick up the loaner.
I was lured away by the bright and shiny mustang, I really wanted to keep this...
Mine too, replaced under warranty. In the shop now for evaporator repair. Two years, four major repairs
It's been a good run, but I think I'm going to have to let this car go.
They tried the same thing with me after I told them it was the evaporator, they said it was a seal, wasted 2 days "fixing" a seal, then told me to come get it. They said if it broken again, bring it back, it was under warranty. I walked outside to get the car, and the car was already leaking...
Mine died last week, Ford has had it for 6 days. I was lucky my warranty still has 9 thousand miles remaining. Supposed to be 102 here today. I'm military, slated to transfer in 4 days, was supposed to drive to my next duty station, that's not happening now. Going to have to fly there, check...
Yeah I'm beginning to think something is up. Mine has been in a pending status at FEDEX for almost 48 hours.
Fully expecting to eventually get a box that is held together by duct tape and staples.
The vinegar suggestion is the easiest and cheapest. The water spots are actually mineral deposits that have formed on the paint from when the water evaporated. Vinegar breaks up the mineral deposits, the side effect is that you car will smell like a pickle for a while
They do smooth out. Had a set on my last car, couple of days in a hot car and the leather shrinks.
The sad part....... the stock leather on my seats now looks all saggy and stretched where I sit. I'm not a big guy either 6ft, 188 lbs, but to look at the seats you'd think that I weigh 250...
The Cardinal stitching is a good match for ruby red. It's what I ordered. Ink Tuscany wrap, Red/black Barracuda insert and wings, with Cardinal stitching.
