I am always looking to gain an edge and was thinking about a heavier than stock shifter
ball on my MGW shifter that has the original ball.
Is the original stock ball already heavy or can I get an aftermarket that is more so?
Finally, for those who have gone the heavy ball route, is it a...
Tried searching and I'm sure it's been covered, but I didn't see it
If the hood heat extractors are functional, then why does the driver's side underhood
insulation not have a hole for that side extractor?
I didn't want to step on another thread, so I am posting this here.
Someone will copy a post verbatim and then post it without making
a comment.
What is this supposed to achieve? Is this an approval?
Didn't want to step on the other LL thread.
Have a '19 Bullitt with the electronic package and all the options and when I
toggle to LL, the Line Lock script is dim as if it wasn't included and I can't activate it.
Was this a special order item that I don't have?
It has launch control...
I saw 2 S650's today, a GT with a single tailpipe on each side and a plain model (Ecoboost?)
with quad tips.
Is this how they now come, or has someone done some exhaust work?
I have seen several videos showing 2019-20 Bullitts that are bone stock and recording
figures that would suggest the factory 480 hp figure is underrated.
I would be interested in hearing what your pull recorded.
I bought over a case of Lucas 3x octane booster at a garage sale for a great price last Saturday.
Was thinking of using it to save money by adding some to 89 gas that would bring the rating to around 92, as I am now running 93 pump gas.
If I were to add the same amount to 93 gas, do you think...
Reading on here that the older mt-82's had gearing that was more advantageous to better 1/4 mile
times. Were these a closer ratio?
Does anyone know why Ford changed to the current configuration?
Maybe better gas mileage?
Edit: I found an earlier thread that answers most of my questions, can't...
I just had my MGW x spec shifter installed a few days ago and am in the process of breaking it in as it
is quite a bit stiffer than the stock unit, which is a good thing.
Really the only shift change that I have to pay attention to is fifth to sixth.
If I just lay my wrist on the ball and pull...
For those of you that went with a MGW shifter, is the push down for reverse a pain and you miss the stock collar lock out, or is the effort about the same once you get used to it?
You guys were really helpful on the other install price thread so I would like to ask your opinion on the same topic.
I am leaning towards the standard height MGW x spec shifter. Has your experience shown you that I might be happier with another model from these guys?
Thanks in advance
I am interested in getting a MGW shifter installed and I was quoted $1700 with my shifter!
Does anyone know of a good place in the Houston area that is more sane?
Not wanting to step on the other thread about the downshifting auto guy, I was brought up
to think downshifting my 6 speed manual was harmless as long as it was done in a sane manner.
Is there any evidence to the contrary?
(links)?
Last October, I bought my Bullitt with a little over 18k miles.
Looked at the tires today and they were made last year. Why would
the tires be changed with such low mileage, and yes all 4 of the tires
were made in '23.
