Too bad we can't see a gen 2 with an a10 swap. I'm content with my gen 2 GT/CS stick now but I am curious to see the difference. I would love to see a 4 eye fox with a gen 3 and a10. just stock power but 1000lbs lighter lol
I was worried I was cross threading at first because that last big bolt was bloody tight going all the way in but I've felt what cross threading felt like and it didn't feel like that, plus it torqued to 130lbs no problem.
Well I got it all done today, alignment bushings, support bushings and IRS brace.I ended putting the car on 4 jack stands. Was a bit of a pita on my back but not bad. I will need an alignment, the passenger side bolts all went in perfect, but on the drivers side the rear bolt was able to start...
Oh well I guess I'll have to get used to it lol. I think I'm going to fill up with 94 at half tank to really dilute that 87 lol
I think it's funny we are now using hoon by the way
So silly question probably. But I'm going to be using 4 jack stands. I just installed my steeda jacking rails. To me, they look a little short for having the car sit on 4 jacks then jack up the irs?
I'm just worried about the car tilting forward like I said because the rails don't seem very...
I literally go out to "hoon" right now with all this isolation crap. I used 87 all winter as I hoon less in the snow. Now that it's getting warmer though..... I noticed my cats smelling too after some rips on 87, with the higher temps that makes sense? Well it's still under warranty at least but...
No I'm just going to wait until I do the shocks, springs, camber plates, and sway bars next summer. I should have explained that better. Easy there. Doing the support bushings and braces will be just fine for now
I don't think I will install the alignment bushing. After reading about how annoying it is to get a proper alignment, or how expensive it is to get a proper one, I will not be installing the alignment bushings for now.
So just the IRS support bushings and IRS brace
Going to try and tackle this tomorrow, have to pretty much get it done in a day. Any useful tips for installing this setup/parts? I just installed my steeda jacking rails so I'm good to go that way.
Do I need an alignment after installing the alignment bushings?
Thanks
Well just to be clear. I'll be keeping my '17 for a long time. I looked into it, it had far too much negative cost and at the end of the day and even if I could afford it I don't I would have done it. I love my car too much, I love the looks over the 18+ and I love shifting.
Like I said it was...
5th gear is 1:1 in the stang, What were you expecting? Lock the A10 in 1:1 and it's the same thing. Not trying to say anything negative about the a10 but stuffing any non turbo car at sub 2.5k rpm in the upper gear range is going to feel "too tall"
Not busting balls just that logic didn't make...
