I had this in the general section, but I think this section may give me more answers.
So I am looking at getting my 4th Mustang. I have had a 96GT, 00GT vert, and presently a 2006GT vert. The current one has a Saleen blower with the Supershaker option with only 7.5#s of boost. I have been...
So I am looking at getting my 4th Mustang. I have had a 96GT, 00GT vert, and presently a 2006GT vert. The current one has a Saleen blower with the Supershaker option with only 7.5#s of boost. I have been reading and following threads for a while and know that the 15-17GT are down on torque...
I wouldn't put anyone except a real small child in the back for road trips or anything more than 30 minutes. I have had Mustang since 1997. With that said, if we are talking 4 roads trips a year, then rent a car for them. I would not buy a car for 4 trips out of the year. Rent a family sedan...
I don't have a S550 (S197),but I would guess that what you are reading is Duty Cycle of the pump. For the S197, the other data point was FP CMD V (fuel pump commanded voltage) and FP ACT V (fuel pump actual voltage). The FPDM sets PWM to the pump based on the PCM commanded voltage. Duty Cycle...
I did my daughter's mustang a long time ago with the G2 grabber paint - match was very good and has held up well. I guess the real question for the paint at the shop is how good is there customer service and warranty work if needed. The real question for powdering is who will do the...
Have you changed the frequency rate of updates for the data? Slow each one down maybe? While not the same, I used a aeroforce scan gauge with the OBD splitter when I had the insurance device plugged in. This was in my 2006 GT.
If the tune was adaptive and the sensor could measure down to 20% then why not. I don't think their would be any performance gain over pump gas 92, but if the performance about the same, then why not run it if the cost is 45 or 50 cents per gallon cheaper for E20.
On my daughter's 2012V6 (same engine and headers) I reused the stock gaskets. The stock gaskets are the best. No leaks.
Even on my old 2000GT when I put long tubes on at 85K miles, I reused the stock gaskets. No leaks after 40K miles when I sold the car.
I don't have a 2015/16 Mustang but offer this for a possible reason. There are many GPS satellites in orbit for the US. The software in the radio may be using a time zone which is getting a code from a particular satellite which may be giving a +/- hour based on where it thinks the time zone...
3.15s won't make more power. If a PD blower is used, the torque increase at low RPM is massive. The car does not need 3.55s as those gears will allow the engine to spin the rear tires easier than 3.15s. I would expect even with 3.15s, traction would be an issue. I have a 06GT with the Saleen...
Since I only own a Supercharged (Saleen Supershaker) 3V mustang and not a 2015/16, I will add my thoughts on the potential test drive. The factory tune for the Eco will probably lead a lot to be desired. However, based on tuned Eco dynos, it appears as though the Eco has more torque until about...
