Wait, I thought it's more of an on and off thing. Either fully open or fully closed. You mean to tell me they can be partially open/closed?
If that's so, what exactly doest the exhaust button do? Force them fully open or fully closed?
Hi friends,
Can anyone please explain to me how the exhaust bypass valves or exhaust modes works on our GT350s?
To my understanding there is an electronic valve that closes and opens on normal or sport. But from where such a big difference in sound?
To my understanding they work...
I think we need more science on this and not just track experiences of x, y and z. By science I mean, actual comparisons in real life of stock vs AP. Braking distance on dry and wet, temperature readings for x laps of same track and get lap times also in just to show similar pace, time to brake...
He said it will not be cheap. He quoted me something like 26$ per 1L. But hey, we're in Europe here, so everything from US is more expensive. You should get it way cheaper than that...
Hi folks,
Had a couple of words with a local tuner that's into a lot of high HP performance cars. He's shown me his dyno, on which I plan to measure my GT350 as soon as the brake-in is over. Near the dyno sat a 1100HP Supra and a 1300HP GTR.
We spoke about alot of car stuff and we came...
I took the liberty and add the weights we know so far for the sizes they produce. Got this from HRE Germany via email a few days ago.
As you can see what is virtually a front GT350 but with bigger offeset (read heavier wheel) 17,2 lbs.
The closest to the rear GT350 rim appears to be the...
I took the liberty to add the people interested! People, relax, this thread doesn't constrain you or oblige you in any way, shape or form. I'm trying to see if we can get the HRE Gods to sell us the Lighweight at a fair price. If we can get enough people interested they will produce the wheel...
From my understanding, the 19" R101LW would be $2400/per wheel so that would be somewhere near $9600 for the set, but I was curious to see to see if there's enough people out there who would want a set in order to convice HRE to make us worthy :D:D:doh:
Nope but considering you're in Switzerland, most likely your car was modified by the dealer or whoever sold it to you in order to comply with European laws. If I'm not mistaken, even thought Switzerland is not in the EU you still have to get orange turn signals. But that mod is dependent to each...
Hi folks,
I'm just interested in finding out if there are enough people interested in the 19" rims in stock GT350 size in the HRE R101 LIGHTWEIGHT version.
If we could get enough critical mass maybe they will consider making it and we might have a sub 19lbs rim that's both strong and light...
Agreed! The thing is, the investment, say up to 10k, should be worth it if it cuts down the weight by more than 40% over stock rims, considering the stock rims weigh aprox 31lbs.
I'm interested 100%. Maybe we should start a different thread since this is a tad hijacked and see who is really interested and do a count in by the OP as in the Ford Performance lowering springs thread.
I'd like to contact them for a similar quote. Can you help me up with an email or stuff like that.
I have someone in the states that can help me with the transport.
Cheers!:ford:
PS: Why 1000$ in studs?
If that is true, that right there might be a good deal. Considering most of the lightest rims on the market (alloy) sell for ~ 2K per rim... (HRE lightweight, OZ etc)
