So I ended up ordering an "Extreme G-Trac Brace" by Steeda stocked by Amazon; Who knew Amazon stocked Steeda parts themselves? Anyway, on a whim last night, I decided to check Amazon, and sure enough they had one in their "Warehouse" with a damaged box for $100 and then I get 5% off that for...
Steeda Jacking rails, all four wheels up and it wasn't bad at all. My son and I had it done in about an hour and 20 minutes. The hardest part by far was getting the old one off. The rest was pretty easy.
I've not yet tried. I do have the OEM hood vents from a 2016, and I purchased the wiring OEM harness. I've not yet tried the install because I've had other things to work on in the meantime. I thought about buying just the wires used in the Starkey instructions and using that + the OEM...
I think you're misunderstanding when he's covering this up, and it wouldn't be in publicly accessible areas or areas the police would be checking; He's doing when he may be at a track, or otherwise doesn't want people scanning his VIN on private property. The same places people take their...
That's actually exactly what I did, and hoping it stays together with no squeaks. If I did a poor job gluing it, or if the top boot frazzles more (the inside was all torn up and I didn't even have to cut any stitches) then I'll order a new one. I was just glad they were only $60. So far today...
It was a pain. I accidentally separated the chrome portion of the bezel from the bottom black portion with the clips. That was an easy fix. It wasn't difficult, it was just a pain. If I had to do it again, it'd be pretty quick unlike this time. It does look good once installed.
The good...
I installed the Steeda Black Delrin Shift Lockout collar.
Great piece, but the instructions could be a bit better, and the online videos are not perfect. And, add to all of that me being dense.
So it looks good, but I will probably be ordering a new bezel and trying one more time for...
To this day, 2 years and 3 months later, I'm still wondering where. I assumed Hydrodipped, but I'd called a few places and they had no clue what I was asking for them to do.
Maybe CTH621 will finally see my cry for help.
According to page 52 of the GT350 Supplemental Manual, you change at 150K miles both the manual transmission fluid and the differential fluid. For any GTs, like me, lurking, it's the same for us. I'd assume EBs and V6 are likely the same.
Many people, myself included change to BG fluids, or...
It's not an '18, but the MSRP on mine was $44,040 and I paid $36,631 at an Autonation dealership in DFW. 2K of that was a rebate. You can definitely get a great deal by shopping around.
Ordered the BG Synchro Shift II kit from Optimum. I'm surprised not more places carry these kits. It makes me want to become an online dealer for it :D
On my old EB I had the "premium stitched" and had similar issues off and on. As mentioned, I left it alone as I'd heard horror stories of pulling the dash. But, mine was on the passenger side and angled where it was hard to see, so easier for me to ignore.
I was actually glad I didn't get...
Try Facebook for sale groups that are local to you. Mine were gone within 24 hours of posting, and I had multiple people that wanted them when I posted as free.
Today, pulling into the garage I barely touched the passenger side bumper, popping a clip and breaking the tab. So, I probably have some black QuickLatches in my future. :-/
