I may need to leave the car outside for several days. I’m looking for suggestions on what is the best car cover for the mustang. Please chime in on what you are using.
I’m sure this is common but lately I can almost tell if someone is going to line up for a quick race. I’ve gotten good at identifying these cars as well. Rev matching on track mode attracts them further but I love the sound. Is there a polite way of saying nice car but no thanks?
Hi all. I wanted to get an idea on how your acceleration times improved after adding a blower. Please specify the type you have installed. Thanks for chiming in.
Greetings. Im looking to black out my roof as a DIY project. Can anyone suggest a good vinyl to use? Any tips on how to do it well? I’ve watched some youtube vids and I am confident I can do a decent job. Thanks.
After a year of driving, I’ve gotten very comfortable with the tremec and the rev matching. It’s been almost two years now and I was for the first time acutely aware of the car not liking the road conditions. I somehow knew that the car would spin out if I got aggressive with it. (Temps were...
Sadly, modern cars have incorporated new advancements that need to be researched before purchase. I would like to open this thread as a guide for things to be aware of.
1. Dipstick. (Some cars no longer have them)
2. Battery location, battery type (some cars have them hidden inside the cabin)...
For MT cars, what is the best way to let off from a hard pull? Do you stay on gear? Dump the clutch on the next higher gear? or do you skip two gears up? Same gear and Next gear sounds glorious but needlessly strains the engine imo. Skipping up 2 gears leads to a smoother coast but I find...
Ran into this video of German drivers discovering the raw essence of the Mustang. Like the animal it is named after, it is never truly tamed and must be ridden with the respect and knowledge that it is “wild” at heart. Part of the fun of owning these cars IMO. My best analogy is riding a...
Probably irrelevant but I wanted to open this discussion on the best habits to adopt after driving a coyote to prolong engine life. I’ve heard of the one minute turbo “cool down” before shutting a turbocharged engine to decrease wear and tear. I was also told when I was young to rev the...
Finally got to truly appreciate collision mitigation systems, lane keep anssist and auto start stop technology. It does have a place after all. In my recent trip to Yellowstone National Forest, I used the collision sensor to max sensitivity (to avoid animals, tourists, and other cars as my...
HI All, found a great deal too good to resist so I now have 4 apex VS5 19x10's in the garage. I am one year in with the PP Stock wheels with quite a bit of thread left. I am open to suggestions on what you would do it you were in my shoes:
1. 275/40 or 285/35 on the new Apex wheels?
2...
I was wondering if anyone had these. I am curious if it is easy to torque to 150ft/lb. I imagine it may be a challenge to keep the lug wrench in place while tightening.
I am pleasantly surprised at discovering a new hobby after I acquired my Mustang. I am increasingly drawn to doing tinker work on it. With the abundance of resources available online, I have gained confidence in doing things to it that I wouldn't have considered doing in the past. Having...
I found a video on you tube of the noise I’ve been hearing from the rear of my Mach 1. I will bring it in this weekend but
based on the comments, its a 50/50 if it will be resolved. Anyone else have this issue?
I’ve been hesitant to put PPF on my car because of images like this. Has there been an advancement in the materials that would keep it from turning into this image eventually?
