You can definitely hear it with the hood closed. I've had more than one person ask me what's wrong with the car. Lol. Most people think it sounds bad ass but there are some that have no clue.

The best description I can give is it sounds like a ball bearing moving around in the procharger without the helical gear. I guess u describe it well with marbles in a can. This is only at idle. If you don't want that get the helical gear.

I have it in my jeep srt8 and love it.
