With your mods I'm sure you will be fine launching at 3k. I didn't do it because I was already spinning launching at 2k. I didn't really mess with launch control. I just did 3-5 second burn outs with the line lock.
I ran mine with a 295 invo and didn't have a issue. I was launching at 2k and had traction control on. When I turned traction control off the wheel hop was so bad I thought I was going to break one.
Has anybody had a half shaft fail on the street? I have 550 to the wheels and haven't had a issue up to this point. As far as I know it's been all cars with sticky tires at the track launching over 5k.
That's normal. When I first turned mine on I freaked out but than I searched some YouTube videos and realized they all sound like that without the helical gear.
The coastal dyno car is making 700rwhp with the 4.38 pulley at 15lbs. I think you just need to Drop down to a smaller pulley to get to where u want to be.
I plan on running the same pulley the boostworks car has. The only difference is I have o/r headers and that car doesn't. I was suppose to drop the car off 3 weeks ago but I'm still waiting on my mgw shifter.
Do you have any emamples of cars running much bigger numbers on similar set ups? It seems like you are right where you should be with that pulley. I thought that pulley was suppose to be good for 9lbs of boost.
