Sorry Adam. I had no idea that such a simple response to someone's question, and my subsequent attempts to explain my response to you, would generate such a firestorm. I appreciate the civility of your response and the way you kept it to the point more than ever now. I'll stop here and hope the...
Sorry guys, I don't consider 145 degree air temps for 20-30 seconds at a time every once in a while to be a problem in a daily driver. Normally the temps are 125 or less. If you're telling me that's a problem, then any time anyone gets stuck in stop and go traffic they're in trouble. If I...
Yeah, and by the time he got to top of 3rd he'd be going well over the speed that's legal on just about any road in the US. If I wasn't clear, I was talking strictly about daily driving where you rarely have your foot in it for more than about 3 seconds. At least, I rarely do, because by that...
Don't see a plug in your post, however NGK 6510 and Denso ITV22 are both one step colder than stock and both should be carried by just about any auto store.
Hey evan, it's me again; guy with bad plug from other thread. I'll tell you this; last thing I did just to verify that the plug was bad was, after driving 2 days with the factory plugs back in and on the stock tune and the engine running perfectly, I put just the plug I had determined was bad...
Yeah, it would if the plugs that were in my Stang at the time the factory plugs. Should have mentioned in my original reply that I had replaced the factory plugs with Denso plugs. I like Denso plugs. I've used them for over 20 years and never had one fail before.I was pretty surprised when I...
No. I figured it out myself. I don't take my cars to the dealer unless I can't find the problem and fix it myself, or I know what's wrong and know I can't fix it myself, or the problem is covered under warranty.

No, IC comes after the turbo, so IC doesn't affect the turbo at all. Keeping the stock IC simply means that if you do repeated pulls in boost, you may notice a temporary slight loss of power as the IC becomes heat soaked and can't cool the incoming air as well as it could for the first few...
I had exactly the same issues; sputtering, rough idle, P0303 code. Mine turned out to be a bad plug. Took me a few days to figure it out because the plugs had been running flawlessly for 3k miles. Check the gap on the plugs. Gap them all to 0.026. See if problem goes away. Make sure you keep...
Either NGKs have some hellaciously strong strap electrodes or you need better gapping tools. I have never had a problem opening or closing gaps on plugs with simple gapping tools. This is the tool I use to gap my plugs; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CODE0M I've used it to gap the OEM...
I believe if you go to the blue smoke thread here, http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18671&highlight=check+valve, and do a search in thread for "check valve", you'll find people who have installed a check valve in a universal CC, and which check valve to buy.
BTW, have you looked...
Do you have someplace where you could set up one of these? http://www.walmart.com/c/kp/pop-up-canopies The 4-legged 10x10 ones are easy enough to set up and take down by one person. My wife and I used to use one whenever we went to my daughter's swim meets. It's a necessity in the Texas summer...
Yeah, that's the way I took it - you were either a jerk :D , or joking. I took it to be a joke, although it wasn't until later when the OP said his heart stopped when he read your post that I realized that someone who doesn't work with cars much might take it as truth.
There's no real need for you to get charge air temps at this time. It's pretty well known how the charge air temps with the stock intercooler correlate to intake air temp and boost.
I would say though, that there does seem to be something wrong with your CAI based on the temps you are seeing...
I believe so, because that CC is definitely connected to the clean-side line of the crankcase ventilation system.
As I mentioned in a previous post, if you have the UPR dual-valve CC, I'm not convinced you need a clean-side CC at all.
As far as the smoke issue goes, I'm not convinced there...
