  1. Spark Plugs - Please Read

Neither should be a problem. The small difference in gap between front and back just means sparks will jump where the gap is 0.028 for now. As wear occurs and the 0.028 gap gets larger, the spark will start to jump from different locations across the electrodes. As long as the marks left...
  2. Search for quietest exhaust

Here's a couple of links where PewterCam opened up the EB muffler and resonator so that you can see how the exhaust flows. The resonator doesn't look horrible even though there's no tubing to give it a smooth flow from inlet to outlet, but the muffler, damn, the exhaust has to come in through a...
  3. Search for quietest exhaust

Here's a couple of threads of guys on here who replaced the resonator with a single-in/dual-out Magnaflow muffler. I believe both dropped the stock mufflers, but if you wanted extra quiet, you could leave the stock mufflers in. I believe the Magnaflow muffler would be less restrictive than the...
  4. How to gut PCV? Sticky? Anyone lol

Buying an extra is a good idea anyway. If you have to take your car in for a warranty issue with the engine, Ford could use a gutted PCV valve as grounds for claim denial. I would put a working PCV valve back in before bringing it to the dealer.
  5. E30 vs 93 w/ meth injection

Anthony, are you running meth or water-meth. My understanding is that most everyone recommends not exceeding a 50-50 mix of water and meth because of the volatility of any mix with a higher ration of meth.
  6. E30 vs 93 w/ meth injection

AFAIK, you don't need to use any particular octane with meth injection. Meth raises the octane of whatever gas you use and, depending on how much meth you inject, you should be able to calculate the final resulting octane of the air fuel mix. You just have to make sure that when you get tuned...
  7. How to gut PCV? Sticky? Anyone lol

Dirty side cc by itself is not enough. Need a check valve as well to keep boost pressure out of the crankcase. The blue smoke thread explains it all. Sent from my C6606 using Tapatalk
  8. Downpipe power

Ah, OK. I thought you were talking about all turbocharged cars. What I'm taking away from this discussion is that exhaust systems are more complex than I thought, and that there's a tighter coupling between engine design and exhaust design than I thought as well. Does anyone know if the VVT is...
  9. Downpipe power

Not necessarily. Here's an interesting article, http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/hrdp-1011-cams-for-turbocharged-engines/, that talks about how cam timing and back pressure can effect each other. I don't know enough about the VVT in the EBM engine to say that that is the case here, but Adam's...
  10. Royal Purple Synchromesh increased M82 noise, anyone else?

Good point, but it might be worth more research to find out whether it is compatible with RP, or if there is another product that serves the same purpose, ie. quieting trans noise, and is compatible with RP, and to make sure that if there is such an additive, that adding it doesn't negate the...
  11. Royal Purple Synchromesh increased M82 noise, anyone else?

Check out this post from another thread, http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=808632&postcount=12. It's about an additive that Ford specifies to add when doing a complete fluid swap. Poster says the additive is to quiet the trans.
  12. Spark Plugs - Please Read

Holy crap! I've never seen a plug come apart like that before. What happened to the strap electrode? Did the tip melt off? Wait a minute! Didn't you say in your other thread that you brought the car to the dealer and they said it was bad gas? If I were you, after changing your plugs, I'd...
  13. Oil already coming out of the tail pipes??? Pic attached

This was a wonderful car story. Glad it had a happy ending. :clap2:
  14. Spark Plugs - Please Read

Yeah, but you were pretty much the voice of MAPerformance since I joined this community. And one of the premier tuners. Best wishes for the future.
  15. Spark Plugs - Please Read

That's great to hear Nate. MAPerformance has been a huge part of this community. Glad to see you are going to continue to carry the flag forward. All the best.
  16. Turbo sputtering sound at high boost

Sorry evan. I tried looking for those plugs and tried to cross reference those plugs to other plugs that might be available in your area and came up with nothing. I think your best best would probably be to order them online and get them shipped to you as fast as you're willing to pay. You have...
  17. Spark Plugs - Please Read

I hope the split was amicable. In my mind, and I expect in the mind of many others, you and MAPerformance were one and the same. I can already see that you will continue to be a voice here. That's good news. Do you have any idea what we can expect from MAPerformance?
  18. What size screws for the front license plate

The dealer has the equipment to mount the plate holder. They use rivets. They should do it for free, and give you the screws as well. They did for me. Texas requires a front plate and I'm planning on keeping the car for a long while, so I had no qualms about mounting permanently, and I liked...
  19. MAPerformance: Ultimate R&D Thread | Air, Fuel, & Turbo Upgrades

Yeah, I can see where "slight" was a poor choice of words and could have misled someone. I do appreciate you posting actual numbers in your correction. Thanks for that.
