The ecu can compensate for a large range. After a full up I keep an eye on my afr's for a little while to see if it changes. That let's me know if the e content has changed any.
There are several articles and lots of dyno tests that show what actual crankcase vacuum can do. By nature dry sump systems run high amounts of vacuum as the scavenge pump is always trying to pull oil out of the sump taking air with it as well. I imagine but haven't verified that factory dry...
The PCV valve is a one-way device, but more importantly it's a restriction to limit the flow of crankcase pressure venting. If there is excessive pressure as in a boosted application the flow will leave both valve covers. Ideally you want a negative pressure in the crankcase which helps the...
Traded my 15 gt in January of last year, experienced it shortly after in February. Stumbled while stopped at a red light. Did research here on the forums, watched Alex's video on the issue, then datalogged it happening in real time. It's been very intermittent, it'll go weeks and sometimes a...
I've troubleshooted this issue for over a year. Whenever it happens I can cycle the vvt solenoid several cycles per the tsb and it clears up temporarily.

Here is my trials on the subject lol.
Randomly one side or the other sometimes both, and only intake. I know it's a lottery at this point but it's time I tried something.
Fun fact this isn't a Ford design. It's a borg Warner off the shelf system. Ford isn't the obly manufacturer that uses this system.
My phasers drop out randomly and the other day it was bad enough that the car stalled. I've logged with forscan commanded and actual intake angle and the actual angle looks like a rollercoaster on the graph.
I am gearing up to replace the camshaft phasers on my 2019 and I cannot seem to find the phaser to cam bolt torque figured anywhere. Anyone have this specs and/or can take screen shits from the fsm? I've got everything else covered.
I have an older pair of rhino ramps that work pretty well. On a non lowered 19' pp1 the bumper barely rubs when going up/down. Even with a small rubber pad on the bottom they don't stay very well and will push on smooth surfaces.
Having had both my VC's off in the past, the easiest way to reach all bolts and remove the passenger side VC is to remove the battery/battery tray and the cowling brace. The HPFP isn't difficult and all you have to do is bend the HP fuel line up and back a little bit, not much though - don't...
At one point last summer it was bad enough that I had a cam out phase code pending. But I cycled the solenoids to unstuck the phaser spool valve and it smoothed out. I've been living with the issue ever since I got the car. Just too lazy to fix it.
Totally off topic and not to thread jack but this x1000 work in retail and customer service for a few years your outlook on the human race as a whole will diminish quickly.
In reality though, tuners are like resteraunts. Some people love the place and others hate it after 1 bad experience. The bad experiences get publicized more than the good so that's what gets focus on. Personally I haven't had a problem and my questions have always been answered same day using...
