I am a PD blower guy (Whipple) it comes on smooth but a good set of small twins or Bi-turbo will spool and make the torque better. Notice that when a turbo setup runs in its efficiency range the the torque is higher than a PD or Centri. my little 4.6 02 made 672HP and over 700Tq at the wheels...
I wish people would talk torque rather than HP. If you did you would see the difference in PD, Centri, and Turbo very easily. turbo makes more TQ because it spools down low giving you the boost earlier.
I have put 300 miles on the new tune now. what I see at 3K cruising is 10+ and a positive STFT so it wants to go even higher. All other areas I have watched look ok so I think there are some issues with the injector map myself
My trims were +20 with the old tune. Now with the exception of around 3k rpm they are in the -2 to +5 range most the time. 3k for some reason is +10. Fuel trims work well to tell if there is a leak if the tune is correct in the first place but the fact that mine moved about 20% betweencthe...
So I got it home and just changed the power limit in first gear from -15 to -20 and it gives me full boost again. never even turned of the car. something is wonky with their tune. I hate to say it but Lund may be getting money from me soon but I hate to get rid of the power by gear feature
Been doing good since the new tune now it’s back to limiting me to 4lb of boost again. If I flash it will run fine for about 80-100 miles then it goes back to this crap
then your set lol. The fuel cut before was causing surging when i would shift but now its not since they made their other tweaks. I may actually be looking forward to spring now :headbang:
I have noticed it too it still goes immediately into injector shutdown. IMHO it would be nice if they gave it the delay I am not a fan of the crackly exhaust note it causes but it is not surging as much so I am happier.
Im outside Nashville and didnt give it a second thought. Money well spent. the fans are nice but about 30Mph or so are useless and then the oversized heat exchanger will really kick in.
