My 2018 ecoboost has dimples that are centered. Luckily my dealer did not drill them out.

I have a 2018 ecoboost and have the exact same thing. I cleaned the sensor and air filter and it did not help much. It is kind of worse for me when the AC is on too. If you find out what is causing this let me know because I am stumped.

I agree with StangTime, like I was saying. It was likely not from your car being operated, but another car shot some gravel into your car.

I would look around all the body panels and see if there is any paint damage before you take ownership of it.

I had to be what sounds like your issue. I took it in to ford and they ripped up the carpet and said a clip was broken. I will try to find the service report and post it for you this afternoon.

If its a lean in the exhaust you can get a spray bottle with soap, back the car onto come ramps and start spraying down the exhaust with the soapy water and where the leak is you should see bubbles forming.

I have a 2018 ecoboost auto and it started to hesitate when started warm right when I put it in drive. It hesitated badly and then it goes away. It has only happened 2x, but it scares me. Brought it to ford and they can’t reproduce it. Did you ever find a fix?

Based on the video it sounded like the cooling fan to me too, but I wasn't sure since I didn't hear it in person. Does the car keep a steady and normal temperature? Or do you notice it gets a little hot and then the temp goes down? It may be a thermostat if that is the case.

I second what bigyzf says. Have someone click it on and off and inspect where exactly the noise is coming from. Fans, compressor, just find out a little more and let us know!
