The coolant pressurizes due to the expansion of the fluid, which is due to the engine heating the fluid up (and therefore cooling the engine). When I shut the engine off, the pressure in the cylinders goes down, yet the pressure in the coolant fluid stays until the temperature of the coolant...
I appreciate everything you say in your message except referring to me as "kid" for some reason. Otherwise, good suggestions and information, I have taken level pictures of my coolant and will monitor it as the weekend progresses.

This is the one I bought, connects to my Iphone and lets me record straight to it. It had a good light on it and 1080p recording which is nice. Read the description and make sure your phone...
I can do you one better and show you the recording if you really want, but I assume you are trying to be negative. They have waterproof endoscopes on amazon pretty cheap, check them out.
There is still pressure in the coolant when the engine is off. I shut the engine off and then opened the reservoir and you hear the pressure hiss out so it is possible that once I shut the engine off the residual pressure forces small amounts of coolant into the combustion chamber and then when...
Read the article. They say in the article they are ignoring the head gasket as a mode of failure and they just focused on 3 other common leak spots. This doesn't help me because even if I did the test I do not know how to tell if the head gasket is leaking between cylinders.
I am curious...
Thanks Dfeeds. I scoped the chambers this morning and they all looked pretty identical to one another. I would assume if one or 2 pistons had a leak they would be noticeably cleaner than the others. I did reach out to the makers of the test fluid and they said that the fluid is very accurate (I...
Lmfao, this makes me laugh. I was never saying that my head gasket is obliterated, just that I may have a small leak somewhere maybe between cylinders. My thought process was that the leak is so small that when I shut my car off for the night that A LITTLE BIT of coolant gets into the cylinders...
You guys are really upset about me asking car questions on a forum about said cars. I'm not going to break anything. I read a lot of information from the internet and I figured I would ask the "experts" here on the forum for their opinions. Just saying things like "that test is trash you're...
I don’t think the car has a radiator cap. It has a separate coolant reservoir and no direct access to the radiator. Could the same be achieved from just looking at the coolant reservoir? I don’t think so.... but maybe you know better on that one. Thinking of pulling the plugs and looking in the...
Here are the results. I did a chemical test on my 2018 mustang and on my 2017 Subaru Forester. Mine is definitely more green than hers, but hers is not that stark blue. Why do you guys make of this?
I know that the video shows bad smoke, but my smoke is the same color.... Is it possible I have a head gasket leak, but just not as bad as that guy's car?
