Good to know buddy. Pre November. It was wheels/tyres or a supercharger and i went the latter so next on the list are wheels/tyres. Vendor name makes no difference to me but your personal patience with quotes, help and answering all my questions has won my business. I'll be in touch when i'm...
Paul Need4SpeedMotors quoted me for 6GRs with Michelin tyres, TPMS sensors, mounted/balanced, lug nuts/wheel locks and center caps at a great price via PM on this forum. Basically ready to bolt up and go. I'm definitely going that route when i'm ready.
Went with the Anchor Room full tint kit from LMR - https://lmr.com/item/LRS-2015T/2015-Mustang-Anchor-Room-Smoked-Tint-Kit-Complete
Did all the lights except the 3rd brake light and the indicators on the wing mirrors. Doesn't diminish light output even the headlights.
Some shots with some...
Mantic just arrived yesterday. Can't wait to get this thing in next week. Actually only $400 more expensive than an RST when all extra parts are included. Mantic has the flywheel, throw out bearing/slave cylinder included and I added a Steeda braided clutch line and new pilot bearing.
Thanks for the info. That doesn't bode well. I'd swap exhausts but I want a straight through muffler and not a chambered style as I intend to install an N2MB WOTBox. Figured the resonators would kill the drone.
Clutch. Everything held up fine for 30,000 miles daily driven. P1 Procharged (~600whp) for 3 months/4,000miles and it died. Still on stock opg/cs for now as I don't rev too high. Next up i'm getting rid of the cats. I'd suggest keeping an eye on them at 750whp if you haven't removed them...
Both good points. Having not had an aftermarket power adder before, I knew I'd be happy with any of the options but as a novice wanting to learn and do the install myself, I felt more comfortable installing the Procharger than the Whipple. On the other hand, it's a daily driver so I wanted...
Procharger here. Easier install than the Whipple I believe though I haven't installed a Whipple so can't validate that. Full kits come with a tune. Very easy to get started. Cost as well as the lowest poweradder IATs I could find were my motivation. Important in the desert.
Bullett z06psi either of you guys have a vid with the comp catback and the cat deletes? How's the drone? I've got the magnaflow comp and will be getting the cat deletes but thinking of getting 12" vibrant resonators to tone it down a bit and kill the drone.
Agree with that. Definitely an amazing tire but don't expect much life in a daily driver. I do 30-40 miles each way every day and while they still had tread left, the number of heat cycles they go through means they get dry and brittle pretty quick. Mine lasted 5-6 months.
Awesome! Can't wait to see what a difference it makes. I presume you'll be tuning for 20* timing but not tuning for the actual water/meth? i.e. taking advantage of the cooler charge temps. Had a conversation with Jeff from Hellhorse Performance last night and their meth kit on their 800whp TT...
Great shout on the pilot bearing! Thanks for that. You don't have a part number by any chance do you? Ordered the Steeda clutch line and will be a great opportunity to put in the Bg Synchro Shift trans fluid i've had sat around for a while.
Ha! It's all good. I reckon that's what it must have looked like from outside the car. No point having line lock from the factory and not using it though.
Kind of embarrassing but knew the clutch was on borrowed time so it wasn't entirely unexpected. On the other hand, as you say...
Don't believe they're possible to remove without breaking them. Had a good look into mine but gave up in the end and just plasti-dipped them black. Will eventually go with a set of stock '18 tail lights.
Went out on Friday morning to do some 0-60 testing with the Procharger and try line lock in a safe environment. Nice stretch of road closed off that goes way out into the desert with nothing but sand dunes on either side.
Haven't had it dyno'd but stage 2 Procharger Beefcake Special should be...
d4rk_hrs i've got my heart set on airlift in the future so been doing some research but that was a great explanation. Appreciate you taking the time to write all that. Sounds like 3P will give me everything I need.
