Ask them if they have anybody trained on Ford's IDS software. I'd say you could download it yourself, get the correct OBDII adapter, and run it on a laptop but it seems to require a login.
Scope out the forum at CyanLabs and they should be able to help you. There's a utility that the admin over there wrote that flashes firmware to Sync3, which was particularly helpful for me since my '15 didn't come with Sync3 from the factory and the VIN would never pull up updates for it...
My bigger amps don't see much time these days but I've got a moderately sized pedalboard that I run into a Deluxe Reverb.
Fortunately they're going to fix the crank learn issue for free tomorrow. I just have to run over there at lunch.
I just called the dealer to follow up with my sales guy...
Unfortunately I'm not David although, funnily enough, that is my brother's and father's names. LOL The name's Tom. I am also a guitarist and certainly lust for a Hiwatt, but the wife might kill me if I add a fourth amp to the collection along with the 25 guitars. LOL
So, I paid $150+tax for the...
Well, the reason I ask about that is because it's come up in every other thread about the question.
There isn't anybody on the forum that works as a Ford tech, is there?
I bought the car from a dealership that he traded it to. I asked them to pass along my contact info and haven't heard anything.
Regardless... Will I have a problem? Do dealers bust people's chops because of warranty and if it's not under warranty I'll be good or is it an actual issue?
Long story short, I bought a '15 GT that seems to have a tune but I don't have the tuner and can't get in touch with the previous owner. It also came with only one fob.
Bringing it to the local dealer later this afternoon. Will that be a problem? I've Googled and searched the forum and there...
I'll have to pop the cover off at some point and see what's under there.
Looking at aftermarket shifters, it's crazy how different they are compared to the '11-'14 Barton shifter that I bought for the '12 that I never got to install.
So, after I posted this I took the car for a drive to air it out (my daughter barfed in the back seat last night... 😭😭😭) and the amount of vibration with the "thumb" is almost not there versus the carbon fiber bowling ball that was on there. I didn't get a chance to let it cruise for a bit on...
So, I'm new to the S550 world and all of my in-car experience consists of a test drive of an EcoBoost auto a few years ago and the new-to-me '15 GT I bought after the untimely death of my '12 GT.
While my '12 was 100% factory stock (minus liking BFGoodridge g-Force Comp-2s better on it) my '15...
I know when my wife's Edge got a new shortblock they said to try not to exceed 2K RPM or somewhere thereabouts for the first... I think 1000 miles. All the Windsor engines my brother built were treated fairly similarly, even the 351 in the '80 Ghia (still had 2.8L badging on the transplanted '86...
Rear brakes and BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S Plus tires on all four corners.
Got the Borla Touring catback with black chrome tips on order from @beefcake, so that'll get installed once it arrives.
Maybe I'll fix the Bluetooth calling issues I have if I can take the dash apart today. It's a...
I'm confused why you're saying not to go with the AWE Touring since the choice opposite the Borla was the Ford Performance by Borla. 🤔
For reference, here's the Ford Performance Touring:
If this doesn't go right to 2:01... Go there. LOL
Here's the Borla Touring:
Also, for the record, I...
So, I've been chatting with @beefcake and he probably thinks I'm a giant pain in the butt. I very much appreciate all the time he's given me so far!
I'm not sure which way to go but I DEFINITELY will be making a purchase for an exhaust from him since what's on the car NEEDS TO GO! It's...
