  1. Limp Mode on the Track

They (FPP) sell a blower for the Coyote that when installed by an authorized installer doesn't void the warranty, hard to imagine a cooler would be an issue.
  2. Software update for R's only (suspension)

This ^^^^ I was waiting for them to go Hoonigan in the parking lot
  3. Any build dates from the Midwest area?

    PM sent, thanks! :ford:
  4. Eagle has landed, I repeat, the Eagle has landed...

Thanks, now I get your thinking! The more I think about it I should probably be looking at something different for a drag car, and save the GT350.:headbonk:
  5. Any build dates from the Midwest area?

I'm in Oklahoma and according to my zone rep mine didn't make this months schedule.
  6. Eagle has landed, I repeat, the Eagle has landed...

Not necessarily disagreeing, but would you care to expand on this? If I'm going to drive extremely aggressively i.e. some weekend drag racing I'd think a more robust clutch would be a good thing. I'm not saying it needs a 1200 HP version, but an 800 HP version might be good.
  7. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

Changing the seals is not a big deal. Pull the valve cover, rotate the engine to get the valve closed, and apply air pressure to hold the valve closed while removing the lock and spring. Once the seal is replaced just reverse the procedure. You don't have to pull the heads to do it. I'd trust...
  8. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

You can get the tools to perform a cylinder leak down test for $100 or less and run your own test. If you have a stuck piston ring or a cylinder leaking past the rings, seats, or gaskets you'll know pretty quick. Search YouTube and you'll find several videos on how to run the test, it's not...
  9. 2017 Build Dates

Have you tried calling FP and asking Mike or Isaac?
  10. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

FWIW, I ran your situation by a long time friend who was a Ford dealership mechanic, then Service manager since back in the 60's. This guy has worked on Fords all his life and he's older than I am and I hit 60 last year. I also spoke to another friend who builds engines. Both agreed that a leak...
  11. When will I be able to track my build?

Same here, guess that's the perils of dealing with a small dealership. On the bright side, I know they have the allocation and I got mine at MSRP. :D
  12. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

I understand, bottom line is that they get it fixed. I guess it's just my personality, I sometimes feel the "need" to know how something works. Good luck!
  13. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

So, are we to ass-u-me they ran a leak down test with the valves open? I understand very well how the seats and seals function. When the valve is open oil can enter the chamber through guides if the seal is leaking. What I fail to comprehend is how pressure can reach the seal if the valve is...
  14. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

OK, so now I've got to quiz a few of my "professional" mechanic friends and learn how a leak down test can detect bad valve seals. Leaking by the valves (to me) would indicate a valve or bad seat. Even a guide would be isolated when the valves are closed. We always leak tested our race engines...
  15. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

I could be wrong (it has happened) but unless your valves are leaking past the valve "seats" then the valve stem "seals" don't come into play. We always did a three angle grind and then lapped the valves ands seats on high performance heads to promote a better seal. I think I've read about some...
  16. MY VOODOO IS USING OIL !

Same here, bad valve seals normally smoke worst at cold start up after setting for awhile. Does anyone here know if the engine comes with neoprene "umbrella" type sales or something like Perfect Circle teflon seals?
  17. E85 flex tune for 350

I don't plan on making mine a daily driver either, but definitely not a garage queen. I know the car is designed to be a road course car, but I have no history in that venue so I will probably do some mods leaning towards street\drag performance (blasphemy, I know). I've crewed for a Comp...
  18. E85 flex tune for 350

Damn, makes me think twice about a flex fuel tune, Sunoco looking better.
  19. Seeking R Ordering advice

You may not get a DORA (I didn't) but there should be a VOC, Vehicle Order Confirmation which will have an order number, dealer code, and last name of purchaser. AFAIK, in my state (Oklahoma) deposits are 100% refundable if the vehicle is not delivered or accepted. As far as tracking through...
  20. 2017 Build Dates

My understanding is that the software that some dealers use only does a VOC and doesn't generate a DORA.
