Great! We should be finalizing the details this week. By the way, we have the new DFW subforum now (under TEXAS regional), and a new thread just for this run.
  4. DFW Sport-Cruise to Hill Country

I've been on numerous cruises ("sport tours") with my motorcycle, as have many others...... they are not wild or dangerous. The roads are in good condition with very curved and constantly changing elevations. The pace is brisk, with braking for the curve entries and acceleration on the exits...
  5. DFW Sport-Cruise to Hill Country

Hey all. About our cruise to the Hill Country..... how about the weekend of Aug 29th (Sat or Sun) and we can choose where and when to meet-up in the early A.M. for departure (maybe Ft.Worth, I-20 or I-30 area IHOP, etc.). If we take the cruise down towards Fredricksburg/Three-Sisters area, we...

Thanks for starting this thread Phil. :) We have been using it as a forum for meetings, discussions on service, mods, cruises, etc. just as you intended. However, it needs to become an actual sub-forum, so I asked the M6G administrator on our behalf (JARSTANG) to create a DFW Mustang forum...

Sorry, I was talking about August (weekend of 22nd 0r 29th), but Aug or Sep is fine with me.
  8. Ford factory update

What dealer is this? Sounds like a good place to bring my EB. :D

Thanks. Not familiar with LUND, so I'll check them out first.

Noted. Thanks. Hope we get enough participants for weekend of 20th or maybe 27th.... whatever is most convenient for most. You guys with the hotted-up GTs need to flex your muscles once in a while, just as I am with my turbo..... metroplex highways just don't cut it. :D

Thanks. I visited with Travis at Gearheads last week. He suggested Livernois for my tune (using SCT tuner), but I have been leaning towards the COBB AP with MAP tuning (custom for the new Mustang turbo with exhaust mods). I think I need to put in my order for parts and install tomorrow when I...

I've been researching my tune and mods for my 2.3T and have settled on MAP with their (Adam's) tune using the COBB AP and the MAP exhaust and such. I will be working with Gearheads in Arlington for the install. Any opinions?

Hey! What about our ride in August? I think we can set up the weekend of the 20th (Sat or Sun) for our daytrip. Remember my post a few weeks ago about the Hill Country roads (I took the route I-30 to I-20 just past Weatherford and got on 281 S., then 377 to 16 down to Fredricksburg). We...
  14. Snow/Wet Mode for Fuel Economy?

I've read several threads about tunes for the Mustang 2.3T and have narrowed it down to COBB/MAP (with your tunes) and the Livernois unit. Livernois wasn't very informative about the driving modes/tune interaction, but you (Adam) and Wesley have hit it on the button....... are driving modes...
  15. Livernois tune review

So the tune affects only the "D"- DRIVE setting on the transmission and not the "S" - SPORT mode? Or maybe only the "Normal" driving mode has the tune, and the "Sport+" driving mode remains factory default? .... But if all driving modes are effected equally by the tune, then is the "Normal"...

  17. Livernois tune review

Thanks for the info...it does help understand what a "tune" actually tunes....that is: all the drive modes equally. Sorry about being such a N00b at this turbo tech, but there is precious little info available to compare vendors on this new platform. :frusty:
  18. Livernois tune review

Thanks. I listened to the clip (with good audio equip), but it's hard to tell how it's different from other quality exhaust mods, such as MAP, Magnaflo, etc., especially as it appears to be a "custom" exhaust made-to-order. I have been researching all the info on Mustang 2.3T tunes, but there...
