You'll normally hear a bit of noise from the brake booster as up until the S650 it's been vacuum-type assist. The booster will draw air into the firewall-side chamber from the cabin and exhale through the cabin as the pedal is actuated to offset the engine-side chamber that is under (mostly)...
Personally, I would've already replaced the mirror to see if there is a difference and compare to a stock unit (if available). I've noticed that at least Ford's interior and mirrors can be pretty...shaky. My '23 non-PP shakes a bit, but doesn't bother me much.
Pertaining to drivetrain harmonics...
Based off how much the car is driven, most likely normal. There's an SSM out for this, SSM 50975: Some 2017-2022 Ford/Lincoln customers may experience a notification in the FordPass®/LincolnWay® app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. This occurs when the vehicle has not been...
Noticed it earlier this week too, really digging the new AA setup. Having nav and whatever app you use for music shown at the same time is what I missed with Carplay.
(also nice music choice)
Can't really tell with it still bundled up, can you pull the entire harness out or is it still clipped in within the fender? Try pulling that harness out from the rear of the fender area and separating the bundle. Referencing connector location charts, can't find anything that stands out...
She's home! Really regret just ordering my '22 in this color and just waiting, it really just suits the S550 curves.
Now to get my '66 hopefully running this weekend...
Fresh off the transport and almost in my hands...pictures really don't do justice with this color. I really dig the big contrast between nice dark green in the shade and the pop of the yellow flakes in the sun.
I just wish I initially ordered my '22 in this color and just waited the extra 3-5...
Thanks! I mainly scroll reddit these days...don't really post much, but I have some things planned. Your build looks great (and sounds great) BTW!
I have a brand new MP EB convertible in my bay for the past 2-3 weeks for top issues, such a cool color to stare at. It's like the Mistichrome...
The old fashioned way lol, just talked to my sales guy since I work there. Their tracking is far more in depth than Ford's wimpy tracker.
If they don't ship it here by the end of the month, we'll probably be taking a trip up to the rail yard.
Well, it's at the rail yard as of monday. Just waiting for transport to bring it down here, hopefully by friday but looks more like next week.
I wonder who will win - Ford lifting the floodgates on the S650 or mine getting here before then?
If Ford did it, so can you lol. Sounds like plans for a proper usable car if you're also swapping the hvac housing. Might be able to graft some sheet metal from a wrecked S550 firewall to make things easier? Curious about the 10R80 mounted to a 5.2 too - I've never heard this being done before...
This is the stuff I like to see! Really interested to see how this turns out - especially a 10R80 mated to a 5.2. Looks like the dash might also bolt right in with some trimming, seems like all the bolt holes are the same less the 2 that are under the cowl on the S550 (really shows how similar...
You should get an email once it's built, as well as it seems the tracker on Ford's website appears to be working as of this week. It may be built and is now getting all the decals and other Mach 1 stuff added on now - I think that's what happened with mine ("nite pony" pack) since Sync info was...
Officially built as of today! Looking at Jan 20th-Feb 3rd delivery. Still thinking about going with an S650 depending on price, but the more I see EG the more I may just take this car and run.
Must be a green week lol. My EG GT is supposed to blend in on the 11th. Can't wait! Haven't seen EG in person on anything outside of a Bronco/Bronco Sport/Ranger yet.
Hopefully better build quality than my '22....
If you're still under powertrain warranty (assuming so in this case), Ford has certain warranty practices with anything driveline related. Being as whatever damage (I'd guess broken piston skirt) was found, a claim gets placed with Ford and they determine the level of repair required. My guess...
With everything being mostly LED now, there are no relays for the turn signals on the Mustangs. Everything is controlled by FETs within the BCM and BCM-B and unfortunately not serviceable separate from the module.
Haven't heard of water getting into PP1 wings, but seals do fail and it can happen. If the production ones are just like the Ford accessory wings, you should be able to take the wing supports off through access holes in the supports. As far as draining, you might be able to slosh it out or let...
