  1. Ford Offering Complimentary GT500 Track Attack For Owners

Don't recall GM offering such an opportunity for any of it's "track-intent" cars, including the ZL! 1LE. Nobody ever takes that into consideration when they get into those ridiculous pricing arguments on message boards.
  2. Honest Comparison GT500 ZL1 1lE (THIS IS NOT A TROLL POST)

The question to ask is, what will be the primary purpose of the car? This would make all the difference for me, in what trim level of any car I would buy. The ZL1 1LE is a very track-intent trim that can be street driven, but based on my experience behind the wheel of one, it is not forgiving...
  3. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

blaq continues to display his ignorance with every post he makes. It is evident that he's a novice when it comes to any venue that puts the performance of a car to the test and his skills are lacking. Just stating he's hit 180mph on a "private" road course was a laugher. He fails to realize...
  4. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

Blaq and hotlapse are going to go off on this one review, but that's before they notice the car tested was the slower of the GT500's, quarter-mile-wise, being it was a CF version. Apples to apples, the ZL1 1LE, it's direct competitor, only pulled an 11.7 @ 124...

Majority of that difference is the CF wheels.
  6. Motor trend track test

Duh. I mean, it's not that he desires a car that has a top speed greater than 180mph, he NEEDS one. I agree with those who have stated in the past that the guy does not actually own any of the cars he claims to own, let alone taken any of them to any sort of strip/track. Even his fellow C6...
  7. Motor trend track test

    See what I mean? LOL!
  8. Motor trend track test

It'll be pretty boring. Same old tired stances by the same couple of folks. There is, however, one guy who seems to think FoMOCo has some sort of ability to restrict MotorTrend from publishing a lap time at VIR. It's always some conspiracy promoted on that site.
  9. Randy Pobst Twitter Today

Found on Randy Pobst's twitter account today: "Shelby GT500 track test today, and fall colors in the South. 760 hp! Ultimate Mustang. Could be biggest rotors I’ve ever seen on a “normal” car."

  11. GT500 Break-In Period

My opinion, and you know how those go, is that there is no need for a "break-in' period for the engine. I've never found any evidence of detrimental effects (increased oil consumption, noise, breakage, etc.) from driving the car the way it was engineered for from the get go. I also don't...
  12. SEMA GT500 / Electric Mustang what’s going on???

    Volts hurts, amps kill.
  13. It's still just a Mustang...

    Hmmm....didn't see a ZL1 listed here... https://carbuzz.com/features/cant-afford-the-new-shelby-gt500-here-are-6-cheaper-alternatives
  14. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Exactly. Is there some edict that says a car must be introduced along a particular timeline to be relevant?
  15. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Can anybody else explain exactly what the GT500 is late for?
  16. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

BlaqWhole. For someone who professes he had no love for, desire for or interest in a Mustang, he seems to spend 99% of his time on a Camaro forum talking about that model and it's variants. Over the past year, he's become so entrenched in his rhetoric about the GT500 he simply cannot save face...
  17. It's still just a Mustang...

Hmmmm...interior fit, finish and materials on the current Mustang are really good, in my experience. I'm pretty sure the base Stingray interior and a future Z06 interior are not going to be much different from each other, if any, despite the higher pricetag. I'd go as far as to say, from what...
  18. It's still just a Mustang...

Ha! You clearly have never met and don't know my wife. Her toy is a '65 fastback with a 393W stroker/T56 combo that she takes to the strip regularly, She's piloted my 2013 Boss 302 around AMP and NCM on several occasions.
  19. It's still just a Mustang...

    My wife would disagree.
  20. 2020 GT500 goes 10.61 @ 133 mph!

Is there a C8 Z06 available? No, then we can discuss it when it's a reality. Until then, the Stingray is the C8 Corvette that is available. Besides, it's kind of fun seeing the GM folks needing to compare a relatively heavy, front engine/rwd Mustang to a mid-engine, lightweight sportscar.
