I think you will see some of the '68 in the rear. You can see the protruding "lip" in the middle of the undercover cars similar to what you see on that rear shot of the '68.

Agree. If the new Mustang looked a sleek as an Aston Martin, it would be the hot ticket. None of the renders I referenced look anywhere near as sleek or desirable as an A-M. Heck, I think most of the renders I've seen thus far makes the cartoony Camaro look good.

Well, it does look like you just tacked on the current S197 rear profile. I also hope the side sculpting is much different than what you envision. Nothing about your render says to me, "Mustang".

I can see it. Regardless, if that is what the actual car ends up looking like, it will be, IMO, the ugliest Mustang ever produced. That includes the Mustang II.

how does IRS make a difference? The tunnel is there to accommodate the driveshaft. Last time I checked, the Mustang will still be RWD, thus it will still have a driveshaft.

There was never a 1964.5 car produced by Ford. The VIN's all designated the cars as 1965 models. It will be the same with the 2014.5/2015 Mustangs. There will not be a S197 "2014.5" model. I don't know where people come up with these things.
