Thanks for posting and great video!
Track mode is where I keep mine while on the track. It let's you get a little crazy with a layer of protection if you go too hot into a corner or if you get too aggressive out of a corner.
The Sport Cups also help a lot...covering up for mistakes. Looking...
As was already pointed out, why make the thread in the first place??? In hopes that others confirm the decision you made is the right one?
You didn't buy the R, you didn't buy a MB... I'm sensing a pattern.
:first:
Once you use a MB, all the other rationalizations about using a chamois, leaf blower or air compressor are just silly. There is the best and then there are compromises. YMMV
I have a R...love it and would recommend it to anyone. If you don't plan to track it, doesn't really make sense to get the R due to the tires. I'm ordering wheels and tires for the street which will make it more street friendly (the sport cups catch and throw rocks like crazy...makes me...
Welcome to the site!
(I started in Corvettes as well, then SRT, Vipers, Hellcats and now a GT350)
What type of work / consulting do you do? (Pharma / Med Device by chance?)
I just tracked my R @ NCCAR and VIR recently and plan to do a number of events next year. I would love to track it every weekend if I had the time and funds.
Realistically, I see 5 to 6 events next year (more if the boss allows it) and it will get expensive quick. (Especially with track...
I was curious as well what happened and how the GT3 RS turned out...
Really love the Yellow R by the way. I had a Gen 2 Viper in yellow w/ black stripes so I have a soft spot for that color scheme.
I thought you sold your car OR got banned from the site... you did have some hostile...
Any pics of these on the car yet?
Can you get me a quote on these wheels for a GT350 R? Looking at a square set up so I can rotate for the street.
Estimated weight of these with tires? (I know it depends on the tires).
Do you have a link / picture of the clamp?
(I have a lift and check the tq on the oil filter regularly. Mine did come a little loose after my first oil change as I was able to torque it down some.)
Congrats on the R and for securing one at MSRP!
My brother did the same, went from a 16 Track Pack GT350 to a 17 GT350 R. I got mine last October, and paid an ADM as I didn't think I'd get one.
Make sure to take it to the track...
I saw your car, but I came in late... I love Grabber Blue. My first choice was AG, then GB. Awesome colors!
I couldn't find AG or Grabber last year in a R for less than $25k over so I settled for white.
I like your son's plate....mine is R4TED R.
