I'm working on picking up a set of Apex wheels / Nitto NT01's as we speak.
A friend of mine ran 6G wheels on the track with his R and the wheels made contact with his caliper - long story, my buddy advised to stay away from them after he had to get his lawyer involved.
I'm frustrated...
Experienced a GT350 R wheel failure. Long story short, after a track day in Feb, after the car was sitting for 4 to 5 weeks- it lost pressure (28 psi cold down to approx 14 psi). Before my track day in April, decided to swap the front cup 2's. Car performed great, held air pressure for the...
I ran into the same... With the main hoop bolted in, my rear bar placement was about an inch off on the passenger side. (Driver side was spot on.)
So I loosened up the main hoop, bolted my rear bars into the main hoop and marked the drill holes.
I used the 3 piece rear seat delete instead of...
Pretty happy with my current garage, but there are a few cars / trucks that I'd like to add as funds and garage space allow.
I'd love to add a GT3 as a track you and maybe a new Raptor or Trackhawk as a daily driver/toy hauler.
The oil consumption is what I would consider normal with how hard and often the car gets tracked. The dipstick on these cars is just horrible...so hard to tell where the level is. As long as It's above the bottom hole on the dipstick...I don't worry about it.
I can relate, the Gen 5 Vipers...
Welcome to the party and nice color choice!
(I'm sure you've done the research on all things GT350 - splitter, oil filter, panel gap, etc.)
Great collection of cars. I've been thinking of picking up a GT3 myself, but have a hard time tracking anything that nice. For some reason, tracking a...
I think the upcoming GT500 is why it hasn't been snatched up.... If I didn't have the sweat equity in my R (tow hooks, Watson, paint protection, etc.) I would be all over this car!
Thanks for posting all the leads Tomster!
My only advice is to get a 2017 or newer that has the canister oil filter versus the tq down version.
If you can find a garage queen at a good price, why not... My only concern about buying used is if the owner let the car warm up before taking it up to 8250. I try to keep the car under...
I've taken my splitter off and re-installed a couple of times... the stories on the interweb make it sound more intimidating than it is.
If you have any mechanical aptitude, you'll do just fine. Having a lift makes it a lot easier versus working off your back. Easier to see if you have the...
That's pretty cool! :headbang:
I wasn't planning on using my car primarily as a track car, but that is what it has turned into...almost wish I purchased a base R now.
I think the Shelby letters on the truck look good, but it isn't something I would add to my car unless I spent most of my time at Cars and Coffee and away from a track, then it would be the first thing I added. Along with a giant SHELBY banner across the front windshield. I'd also have a...
