I did this same thing (AIRAID intake tube and K&N drop in) because I feel the factory airbox flows plenty of air and it is for SURE "cold air" from outside the motor bay.. I also cut/removed ALL the sound deadening and airflow restrictive crap from inside the upper and lower of the intake box as...

Got everything mounted last week, looks good and HOOKS damn good!

I ordered the gloss black 19x10 PP wheels I wanted to get and bought a set of used MT 305/35r19's from a local friend, got everything mounted and DOTDAMN that car hooks GOOD now! Bad things is that I put the stock tune back in because I sold my X4 and bought HPTuners so the aftermarket tune...

blah.. id like the hood if it ONLY had the heat extractors and not the ram air scoops. I do like the side exhaust though!! wonder what kind of damage they are wanting to do to everyone's wallet for it.

I did it and it was right at $200 for the tube and filter. But anyways...

Just get the AIRAID CAI tube ONLY, and a k&N drop in and a tune.. right around $200 into all of it. I removed the stupid AIRAID label and it looks stock, and you retain the factory airbox for the ram air and REAL cooler air than the motor bay air. I also cutout everything I could in the factory...

So did you get yours off yet? I am planning on doing mine Saturday. I was told it was pretty easy and should only take about 45 min. and then bleeding them should be easy to. I am going to replace the stock bleeder valves with some speed bleeder valves so bleeding is easy.

Don't know just yet lol. Decided to wait until tomorrow evening in hopes of getting that part figured out. I doubt there is a way to just plug the lines to as they are probably banjo fittings. Someone else has to have done this already and would know.

I have Loctite lol I don't want that ugly adapter, I can see the difference now. Going to look at Speed DAWG I guess.
