With all that being said, I test the E85 EVERYTIME I fill up right before I do so I know if any changes need to be made to the tune. If everything is within 3% I don't change anything.
I was told by a tuner that 12 is right about where you want the AFR to be? That being said my last tune would hit 10.9-11.2/3 lots. I just switched to HP Tuners and have a new tune in but haven't driven the car yet. Wont the DA and air quality/humidity etc make a difference when it comes to AFR to??
I have it available close, I just don't have my cats off yet. I ran it on my 2011 GT with ZERO problems for 10k miles and loved it. I plan on running on the S550 as well after the exhaust is changed. I don't care about the gas mileage change because I don't DD the car.
I don't think they are hard at all. I haven't don't mine yet, but there is a video of the install somewhere I watched, and it looks simple and I would have zero problem doing mine myself. I've swapped them out on other cars in the past.
That's CRAZY!! I would just do the ENTIRE install myself, let the car settle for two weeks and THEN take it to get the alignment. The hardest part of that install would be the springs (and they wont be THAT hard). Everything else is easy..
damn all I hear is the squeaking that shouldn't be there?? Sounds like something is rubbing the brake rotor.. like the dust cover/plate got bent or something?
I have been waiting for this CAI to be released before upgrading to a real CAI from the k&n drop in and airaid CAI tube I have now. I just switched from SCT to HP Tuners for my s550 as well so I'm curious to see how much "tweaking" I can do with the software and this CAI. That being said I think...
Ya I would be interested in seeing those too.
this!.. I have been thinking about opening that inlet up as well. I cant see it hurting anything but if there is no intake box would there really be a purpose since that incoming air wouldn't really make it to the filter? I guess some "cooler" air...
try clay baring, apply a polish, then a fully synthetic wax. I do this process every 3-4 months to my DIBlue car. Takes some time but dammit it looks good, is smooth as glass and afterwards.
2001 VW Jetta that gets 30mpg's.. I drive 33 miles one way to work m-f and don't want to pay for gas in the s550 or rack up miles like that. Getting ready to put the Jetta up for sale and get a HonDUH CRV AWD though for this next winter.
I've thought about looking around for a set from front calipers and brackets from a 12-13 Boss and seeing if I could get them to fit the rear of the S550 somehow.
