I'm guessing this isn't something I can do myself with the nguage on a VMP tune. I would have to get VMP to change this in the tune? I think I have the standard VMP tune for a phase 2 Gen 2 car. Maybe they automatically change a couple things in their tune. Heck, I'm not even sure if the...
Hossman. This question probably applies to Gen 2 and Gen 3 cars with the Roush. I got the 170 thermostat, but don't you have to also change the tune to run the fans at a lower temperature to really take advantage of it?
How much of a difference did you see with the VMP heat exchanger?
I have a 2016 GT/CS also. Definitely get the tune. It will make a huge difference. When I first got the car I questioned the HP. I was pretty sure my 450 WHP cobra felt equally as fast which just didn't make sense with a difference of about 200 HP and 50 TQ. I got the tune that VMP offers...
It didn’t do it at all with the factory exhaust. It was only once it had an aftermarket mid pipe with high flow cats and a catback.
It’s perfectly normal for some cars to do it. BMW put it on there M cars from the factory now. I had a X3 m340 and it crackles like crazy in msport mode.
That's what they call it! "burble". I couldn't think of it.
My Cobra didn't do it at all with stock exhaust. It started crackling pretty good once I added a Borla catback and Bassani mid pipes.
I think it depends on whether the car does it naturally or it is introduced with a tune. My Cobra crackles a lot naturally on decel. The crackle tune in the BMW is ridiculous. It doesn't sound natural at all. It's almost like explosions in the exhaust system. Sounds really bad in IMO.
I think the crackles are because of a rich fuel mixture that occurs right after you back off the gas. My 335 has this crackle tune option on it. I tried it once and it basically adds fuel on deceleration for whatever time frame you pick for the crackle in the tune. Instead of being above 20...
I find it very coincidental that you had a brake service within the last week and all the sudden this issue occurs when it never has before. You can also get air introduced to the master cylinder if they didn't bleed them properly. I worked on a corvette recently that was having air introduced...
I put both of mine away for the winter in a heated warehouse. I bought the Cobra new and it's only seen bad weather maybe once. The Cobra is quickly becoming a collectors car and increasing in value. I bought the 2016 just this year with 2,000 miles on it. It looks immaculate and I'd like to...
They may have introduced air into your brake lines when they replaced the fluid. The master cylinder can go dry or air can be introduced through the bleeder screw if not done properly.
They're mentioned a bunch in the FI forum. The Roush thread is probably the busiest thread with 600 pages. The advantage the Roush has over the others is the warranty. However, they warranty it because their tune is extremely conservative. The oem Roush tune does hold them back performance...
Similar to what you are saying, I think the roots blowers (whipple, roush, edelbrock, etc.) are all pretty close with their power delivery and potential. They are all essentially air pumps that can change the boost using different pullies. There may be more of a difference when you really...
I think what he is summarizing is all that simply adds up to another 25 HP and a slightly stronger engine. I don't think it matters to a lot of people how the engine makes the power. It's basically 435HP vs 460HP.
What did they change in the Sync System? I thought they were the same if you...
