335s from the factory don't have a burble option. It's done through a tune such as MHD like he said in the video. When I say standard I meant your standard tune only 335 with no modifications other than flash. 400 HP is pretty basic with no mods other than the tune.
I think the burble sounds pretty ridiculous. My Mustangs both do it occasionally, but it's a good sound. I haven't heard a BMW or Audi yet where it sounds good or natural in any way at all. However, the burble has nothing to do with the performance of the car. They could have the power to...
It does come out. I installed the Shawn Foster sound tube last week to get a little sound out of the supercharger. These Roush chargers are so quiet compared to other supercharged cars I've been in.
It probably will be about twice the price, but that's just what it costs for BMWs. A base BMW is probably almost twice the prices of a base mustang also.
I agree. 115-120 seems pretty normal at cruising speed.
Do any of you guys notice that your car surges or kinda bucks lightly while cruising in lower gears? It did this when the car was a completely stock Phase 2 with the Roush tune. It still does it now with the aftermarket tune. I don't...
They pretty much run the same times in the 1/4 as the GT350 even with less HP. They're a pretty even match in acceleration. I'm not sure about on a road course. I would image they are in the same ballpark there also.
I got some gas at shell and did a data log in 3rd gear starting at 2500 rpm. It stayed negative throughout the entire pull. Anywhere from -.5 to negative -3. So I think it looks good. I'll just use a few ounces of boostane every fill up to cover for any bad gas I might get.
I'm seeing positive up to
+1.65, but there was some wheel spin and I wasn't really in it too long. I'll do a longer 3rd gear pull and data log today. I'm had sheetz 93 octane in the tank.
I noticed my car doing the exact same thing on warm start. Starts up, then idle drops to around 500 for a second (Almost like it stumbles) and then it settles. The only recent changes within the last few hundred miles is an aftermarket tune and 3 ounces of boostane in the tank I only ran one...
I just had a chance to do some data logging with the VMP tune. I see some positive knock values. What kind of values are you all seeing in your data logs for knockr and what is considered acceptable? This may have already been covered here. I did a search and didn’t find much.
You don’t have to say that more than once! As someone that spends a lot of time wrenching on cars, I felt like an idiot and was so pissed at myself.
I can only imagine what the bill would have been!
I think the old alternator is fine. Although I haven’t tested it yet. The powermaster...
Problem solved.... The fuse box in the engine bay has a fusable block with 3 terminals on the side of it. The first connection is from the battery. The second connection went to my alternator and the intercooler pump. There was no continuity between the 1st and 2nd terminal as the 275 amp...
So I replaced blown fuses for the radio and put in a new powermaster alternator. The Radio works fine. However, the system still says charging system service now. So I'm not sure where to go with that next.
I do my own work on all of my cars and this car isn't a daily driver. So it's not a big deal if it isn't fixed right away. It just pisses me off that I made such a stupid mistake because I was in a hurry. Older cars have longer cables and I'm always pretty careful when connecting batteries...
Did something stupid today while in a hurry. I got the car out of storage and had to jump start it. I drove it to lunch for half an hour thinking that would be enough to charge it, but then it wouldn't start again. I didn't have cables with me, but I did have the battery to my 04 Cobra in the...
I haven't been on the site much lately. So I'm going to respond to a couple topics I saw and I had a couple questions that you guys can probably answer.
I'm surprised it is considered normal for use 1 qt of oil in 2,000 miles. That seems a little excessive to me. I haven't really had a...
I had VMP tune mine. It was the same as previously mentioned, I sent the stock Roush tune and they sent me back a 93 octane tune. Nothing else was needed. I figured VMP worked closely with Roush and they even make their own supercharger similar to the Roush. So they have to know what they...
