If you believe what you read on Wikipedia, part of the adoption of the PWTA coating meant new, larger pistons that bring bore size up to an even 93 mm (from 92.2 mm). Thing is, I haven't seen a larger bore size mentioned in any marketing materials or press pieces.
Ford's own media site...
Speaking of the configurator, I noticed that the 401A package is now listing the Shaker Pro audio, BLIS, and memory seats as part of it. Glitch or fix?
That's fair.
FWIW, I would have had rain sensing wipers, seat memory, and auto high beams in one package, then blind spot, lane departure, and the pre-collision system in another.
Just my $0.02
I don't agree, but that's me. I have auto high beams and rain sensing wipers on my Fusion, but I have no use for lane departure warning (the system stays off when I'm driving the car), and I loathe AEB with a passion. It's unfortunate that you have to buy safety crap to get the rain sensing...
The days of super cheap V8s are long over, my dude. That said, a GT Premium specced the way I'd want it (more or less) is just under 50k USD. Not cheap, but not out of reach, either.
With the autos? GM spent a small amount of air extolling the virtues of their 24 track torture test (or whatever it's called). I would think the autos would be subject to that as well, or are we just talking about Z06s here?
muh clutch, mostly. To be fair, though, the old 1LE on the 3G cars was manual only, and intended for showroom stock racing (this was back in the late 80s, when computer-controlled autos were just starting to become a thing), so there's a little bit of precedent. Biggest thing would be if the...
So the silver GT PP BBS-look wheels are gone in favor of the forged aluminum 5-spokers. I can accept this trade off.
Unfortunate that you have to buy a bunch of safety crap to get the 3-position memory seats, though.
I hope the silver GT PP wheel option carries over; I'd also settle for being able to get those new forged wheels with the PP (assuming they're staggered).
GT350 isn't going anywhere. The scuttlebutt elsewhere on the tubes says that a GT500 is coming...hell, there was supposed to be an event today at Barrett-Jackson about the unveiling of a new Mustang...
I just checked the ratios of the MT82 on cars.com
Gear ratios (reverse): 3.32

What fiasco? All I remember is Steeda, NOT Ford, saying something about how Ford had put their foot in their mouths about weight (when Ford hadn't said anything about a weight reduction).
For which trim? GT and GT350/whatever the next top dog is called, or just the top dog? I honestly would...
American here. I didn't at first, but I suspect that was because I saw the vid of the yellow car, and I'm not really a big fan of yellow cars. Having seen the press pics (and compare with the, because of a command made by C&D), I do like it now.
