Truthfully can’t be bothered to dump more cash in this thing if it doesn’t produce something tangible.
I’ll definitely go that route if I’m displeased with IATs.
The factory box was really really good at what it was designed for, and although open elements are badass to look at and hear I...
Where I live Winter visc is pretty irrelevant, seeing them run 5-50 makes me feel just fine sending it with 5-30.
Unless driving behaviors change dramatically a 30 “warm” visc should be just fine.
Oil is a finnicky question and I know everyone has an opinion lol.
I’ve used all kinds of shit...
So I’ve learned! They’ve answered none of my questions via email.
If M6G is right at all, 5w-30 is going to be the winner for me for street driving.
As a cheap DIY-er it’s just the most feasible to buy and burn vs some of the more viscous options.
Atleast in regards to the PP3 specifically, I haven’t found anything “official” from Ford performance or maybe I’ve missed it all completely.
I’m going to be bumping to 5w-30 to match the gen 3 coyote’s recommendations whenever my stash of 5w-20 runs empty. I do realize 5w-40 seems to be the...
Will do.
Have you experienced and of the pinging/detonation as described previously? Have you dabbled in cooler plugs/higher octanes?
I’m also unsure if I should bump up in oil viscocity. I can’t find any guidance on it anywhere.
whether it’s worth the $30 is up to everyone else to decide.
If it was available at my local parts store I would’ve done it.
i fidgeted with the connector for an hour start to finish to make it work/dress it all up with wire covering/e tape.
i broke the pin lock on the factory EVAP plug. Thankfully it’s not reused.
Ford’s idea of having people pry on factory wiring bits is absolutely bonkers. The plug and play solution posted previously is an obvious winner.
Installs in progress…..
Cutting the wire harness is pretty puckering but it’s coming together.
I’ve been very careful to ID all the hardware included and it seems that Ford has provided an extra intake mani port gasket and a PCV “port” bolt.
Manifold and intake assembly will probably get on...
I went BG and on the street its fine, when stuff warms up it’s really lovely.
MT82 is just really really nibbly and doesn’t enjoy being forced around.
that is a really great idea, the only downside is that I live in a major urban center with no real bike trails.
Maybe i’ll shop a little larger, a 600-700cc supermoto/naked would be awesome as well. We’ll see when the time comes. I haven’t even gotten my M1 endorsement yet.
It’s nothing but...
You definitely aren’t the first to tell me that.
Are the 300-400cc bikes really that slow at highway speed? I thought they had enough torque to get you rolling/moving pretty aggressively on the freeway.
my general lack of self control scares me away from larger bikes truthfully
As a young man in my mid20s and no dependents it’s the danger I crave.
I actually fully intend on just getting a 300-400cc naked bike to learn/screw around on in 2025.
I won’t lie that sounds awesome!
As stated earlier I want to divert my future discretionary funds towards a 2 wheeled venture so I’ve got to take it easy LOL.
CJ Pony Parts has charged my card.
est ship date is 3/30.
We shall see what occurs. I am excited for it. But if it becomes evident that it is going to be problematic I might go the GT350 mani + wiring harness on the factory mapping.
cash!
I think anyone interested in obtaining serious power and multiple tunes in CA is better off going FI.
I however just want to drive this car for shits on backroads and piss off neighbors.
