It’s on some previous posts of mine. I have to find them.
If you have clearance questions they fit no problem with -1.5 deg camber all around. The danger zone is your front fenders if your front subframe is ever so slightly off center.
I threw 25mm spacers with extended studs in my rear end to...
Throw the Michelin PSS at it if you aren’t tracking it. The Pilot Sport Cup 2 if you are, and if operating on a budget Nitto NT555.
I like the way the Michelins look but didn’t want cup 2 wear so I put PSS on my GT350 wheels.
There really aren’t other options except a Pirelli set that are...
No arguing there from me, I’ve hammered on all of the above except the GSF at one of the Lexus “driving experience” marketing events they hold around.
Awesome rides for sure, would make a perfectly comfortable daily. Just not in my financial cards/personal interest this instant is all.
As a man in my mid 20s I have a strong desire for a pushrod V8 that I can throw an obnoxious cam at. Loud motors, harsh suspension, and cabin noise scratch something in my brain that some of the more luxurious options don’t.
Can’t give up the 5.0 though, I’ve just installed the PP3 and the top...
I personally don’t care about correctness, but the 2UR ISF was around before 2011.
I think it was like 06 or something.
Your wiki article might even say so lol.
I unfortunately think Lexus’ 2UR in all their current 5.0 options was developed before our Coyote.
I still really enjoy how much more rowdy a Coyote gets on the road. The Lexus’ are awesome retirement cruisers though.
Fortunately jokes about insurance fraud aren’t too serious or well thought out lol.
It sounds like he’s looking to do this off the books and as cheaply as possible so any insurance chatter might be wasted breath.
PP3 is fun.
Basics:
- more throttle response
- pulls like freight train to 7500rpm
- crackles on decel
No pinging/unusual noises. I turned that octane option on while on the procal software.
Heat soak wasn’t a problem, it’s a chilly day currently and they remained just above ambient while...
Absolutely, it’s up to you to decide how deep you want to go into this.
That would definitely be cheaper than a cut/replace of that quarter.
Depending on who you ask “recovering” that panel might cost more than cutting/replacing.
Grab a few quotes! Our cars are still pretty late model so...
Unfortunately that’s probably expensive beyond what she’d be willing to cough up.
Insurance is the answer here unless you’re okay with some backyard tomfoolery.
Edit: I support backyard shenanigans, I’m probably one of the worst offenders on the forum. If you don’t about resale grab a pry bar...
The rod, I imagine, can break anywhere along the length of itself.
It seems most common that it breaks at the sensor on the end of it.
I’d check everything spark related before going down this road. This job is DIYable but is a real PITA solo in a garage with poor lighting.
Everything is in.
My car is quirky or something, the crowded mess of coolant/vacuum line was a PITA to route afterwards.
Everyone properly installs the heater hose with the factory brackets but my car would literally not allow the hoses tor each if applied.
Hose clamps are always a PITA. MAF...
Intake is on, fuel rail/system is back on and connected.
More to come tomorrow.
Coolant lines to heater core/fire wall are really, really funky to fit with the factory brackets/plastic.
instructions state to skip insulation, some vids include it.
not worrying tonight, it’ll be wrapped up...
