  2. Cleaning Carbon Fiber wheels question

For anyone who has a CFTP. Are you using anything different to clean your wheels since they're not metal like the base model? I've was using this before... https://www.amazon.com/Nanoskin-NA-NAD16-Non-Acid-Wheel-Cleaner/dp/B00X123G6Y

Bummer, sorry to hear this. I was really hoping it’d fix your problem like mine did.
  6. Front End Noise Mystery

No worries brother. I hope it works for you. So far so good for my car. Thanks to my service guy and his suspension guy for not giving up on it like the last couple of people I've had try to locate and fix the issue.
  7. Front End Noise Mystery

I got the car back today. They replaced my upper and lower steering shaft assembly. No noise as of right now, but I'm going to drive it for a few weeks before I'm convinced it's fixed. Here's the text off the service report if anyone else's mechanic is having trouble finding their noise...
  8. Front End Noise Mystery

My 2020 has been making this noise for the past 18 months. Armed with everyone's knowledge from this thread, I asked the dealer to investigate the noise again. They still can't find the root cause of the noise. They talked to someone over at Ford Engineering and it's been decided to replace my...
  9. Steering question

Snoopy to the rescue as usual! I had a feeling 3 turns lock to lock was unusual for the size of these wheels.
  10. Steering question

Interesting theory on the different drive modes. I always drive around in sport, so the unusual sound and the change in steering wheel travel definitely concerned me. The wheel travel has returned to “normal” since the re-torquing so we’ll see what happens.
  11. Steering question

Well I finally got the car back. They heard the sounds coming from the front right and back left wheel wells. Visual inspection on the ground and up the lift revealed no visible mechanical issues. They re-torqued everything to specs and the noise went away. So I don’t know if stuff wasn’t...
  12. Steering question

Yeah the car definitely has a large turning radius. That’s why I got concerned when it improved, haha. Still not 100% sure about the sound. Dropped it off to get looked at. The tech couldn’t hear or feel anything at first. I pushed them to take it over some speed bumps at slow speeds to see if...
  13. Steering question

Ok so here’s a question for everyone, what the maximum steering wheel deflection you get on your GT500? Until yesterday I got just over 1 full rotation of the wheel before I hit the stop. As I was leaving my house yesterday morning I heard a fairly loud metallic pop from the front part of the...

  15. Who built your motor??

    Brian Kelpak on L0717
  16. Parking Brake

All good info Mark. Upon picking up my car and reading the paperwork, the loose connector is actually under the center console and attached directly to the Parking Brake switch. So if anyone else has the issue, that's probably where it's at; not outside unfortunately as the tech originally led...
  17. Parking Brake

haha yeah, KB, no hills down in Corpus Christi area. Just go a little farther north; you’ll be in “hill country” before you know it, lol
  18. Parking Brake

Gotta say I love the electric parking brake on the car...until it threw a “parking brake malfunction” message at me today. Took it in to get looked at. Turns out there was a loose connector, so that’s good, no mechanical issue. Mechanic told me several GT500 owners have been reporting this...
  19. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Thanks. I went back and forth over black roof or stripes. I’m happy with my decision. Detailer did solid for me. He’s been doing it for 30+ years, and only works on one car at a time. It’s a Beechjet actually, BE400. Nah, not mine; owned by the company I work for. Maybe one day it’ll be...
  20. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Got 0717 back from the detail shop yesterday. I installed the gurney flap and splitter wickers this morning. I’m not the best photo taker but here are a few...
