I switched out the oil with that amsoil mix and the difference is major. Shifts are incredibly smoother, also I used to have a hard time shifting into second when punching it and now itās smooth and no lock out. I highly recommend swapping your oil out in the transmission!
I donāt have a Bullitt but I have a 18 GT PP1, and I believe itās the same transmission. I will be doing a fluid swap tomorrow. Iām doing the cocktail mix that Ben Calimer recommends. 2qts of AMSOIL SyncroMesh and .75qts of AMSOIL Transmission and axle fluid 75w90. Iāll report back tomorrow with...
This one is interesting..
A buddy of mine who owns a Audi raves about this company called www.fcpeuro.com. Apparently they offer lifetime warranty on oils as well. I checked and they carry liqui molly for our cars 5w20. Anyone use this stuff before for engine oil?
Here is the guarantee...
Hey guys! So I just watched this video regarding the BBQ tick.
The reason I bring this topic up, is because I used to have this bbq tick on my 16 GT PP and got a new long block. Dealer told me they found extra clearance on the crankshaft. Does anyone have any experience with this or have any...
I appreciate the f
i appreciate the feedback. I think I will go with MGW this go around. I believe there is a TSB for the 1-2 and 3-4 synchros and forks to get replaced? I will get those replaced first and then throw the shifter, BG OIL (I had the BG oil and it definitely helped) and also do...
I been thinking of trying MGW this time. I had steeda on my last one and I liked it a lot actually. I used a dynamat and led sheets with multiple layers to remove the vibrations and noises coming in. It sounded quieter than stock. Do you have experience with any other shifter to compare the mgw...
Hey guys! Two years ago I had the 16 pp1 and sold it, but now I just picked up the 18 GT pp1. When I launch Iām noticing I get locked out on the 2nd gear at high RPM. Which is really bugging me. I know others are experiencing this too. Anyone find a remedy? I been thinking about upgrading the...
The 2018 engine tick is the direct injectors. I had a 2016 that actually had the BBQ tick and it sounds more like a sporadic metal cooling off type of tick.
Hey guys I will write up a detailed report of what actually happened and I'll see if I can get a report from the dealer. I did sell my car about a year ago and will probably pick up a 18 or possibly a 19 towards end of year or Q1 of 19.
I ended up getting a a new motor from the dealer. They had finally decided to open up the motor and when they did the crankshaft had double the clearance. So they replaced the motor for me.
Here's a diy mod I did this morning. I really like my ford racing shift knob, I like the size and the way it compliments the interior. When running this shift knob I got a hissing or slight buzzing sound from it compared to stock. So I took the shift knob and shaved the inside of it. (Collect...
Do you have any suspension parts installed? Also try this when parked raise you're brake up and turn the wheel all the way to each side a couple of times and see if the simulates the noise.
