I have a a square setup with these in 285/35/19 size. I decided to go with these because 99.9% of the time I drive pretty mellow and I'll never run 10/10ths on the street. The wear has been good and the traction has been as good as the BFG sport comp 2s I had on my older car.
Recently I did a...
I picked one up when I first got my car from eBay. It was under $70 with free shipping. I just prepped it good and used good 3M tape, not the cheap stuff that came with it. It was on for 2 years with no issues until I got the PP1 wing and had to drill holes.
I think the bronze with blue looks fantastic. I regret not getting bronze to go with my red.
in the right light black looks great but low light and bright sun the whole wheel well just looks black.
1 disc, carbon ceramic on 1 side with a exert flywheel. It was an mpact stage 2.5 clutch. It but way to hard for my liking and I believe that’s what most of the shudder was from. I stayed with a mpact but stock replacement. More rivets and I like it. It drives like stock with no lock out or...
When I changed my clutch out the first time the new clutch did this. It had a "slightly" beefed up pressure plate. I hated it and used it for one summer. It made the car not fun to drive. I replaced it the next year with a factory style clutch and I'm happy with it. I'm curios if yours has been...
I'm not to sure. I'd measure but my cars in storage for another month. They were the ones that came with the ZL1 addons splitter. I did extend them approximately 1.5" with some standoffs so I would have the eyelets turned in as far as possible
I'd need a massive storage unit for all my original parts that have come off my cars. I'm also never planning on selling any of my cars so I don't care about the future value. I sold my factory wheels and it covered almost 50% of the cost of my new wheels and tires.
I did 1 side at a time. I removed the bolts on 1 side while supporting it with a jack. Loosened the other side then lowered the jack until the spring can come out.
Correct, you would get +35 all around.
The nice thing about squared is you can rotate them. before I had the SP2s I had the PP wheels and ran a 20mm spacer. with the SP2s I don't use any spacers.
Keep in mind a 285 is 30mm/1.18" wider then you factory tires. It will make a noticeable difference.
just send it. Sure it adds weight and the car might drive slightly different. I doubt you'd ever notice a difference on the street. As far as handling it, If the receiver is rated for it, it will be fine.
I can put a jet ski on my hit hauler which extends my receiver out 24" and I've still...
I know the LC doesn't come on in my car until the engine is warmed up. Just a thought maybe it's a bad temp sensor. I'm not sure how many our cars have.
I ran a Vortech on my 01 GT for years without an issue. I kept boost low and a conservative tune. I road tripped it 3 years after I installed it and put on 5200 miles in 11 days. It's a similar setup to what I'll be installing on this car. My goal is only 600hp.
I worked at a tire shop years ago and the reason they wont patch it is because the constant flexing by the side wall will cause the patch to fail. I'm not sure if patch technology has changed since. They also wouldn't plug it because at that time the belief was that plugs will damage the belts...
I've never used an stl file. I've always just used solidworks then send it to my guy that takes it from there and prints them. So I'm not sure on the scaling. I just saved my solidworks file as an .STL and it converted it.
