There are ways to wire in resistors into the circuit to trick the ECU into thinking the cats are there and working correctly. I did this on my 01 mustang years ago when I went catless but before my tune. It's fairly easy to do and effective.
I'm guessing they extended the brackets down because of how low the splitter sits. If they were solid to the crash bar they would come out high un the bumper. Mine is the ZL1 addons Splitter and I'm going to extend me rods 1" in the spring with Aluminum threaded standoffs. It up about 3^...
I made mine out of a 2" billiards ball. About the same size as stock and something different. Fits on my MGW shifter with a rubber grommet to seal it all up.
I was able to drill into the bottom of the steel bumper and fish a nut into the back side. It only took a few small notches in the bottom grill and I think underside of the bumper to pass the rods through.
I agree with the you on the blade spoilers. I had one for a while. I went with the PP1 spoiler just because I got a killer deal on it otherwise I would of gone with the FRPP gt500 w/ gurney flap.
ZL1addons had a sale for Labor Day so I bought a few parts. they seem decently made for the most part. I really like the wicker bill and splitter but I'm still up in the air about the dive planes.
The wicker bill was easy to install and the online video walked me through the install. Same with...
I'm planning on ordering a front splitter and wicker bill for my car but I'm curious if anyone is running the gt4 dive planes. I'd just like to se some more photos of what they would look like especially with a front splitter. These are the ones here.
I was debating between the PP1 spoiler and the GT500 with gurney flap. I ended up picking up a used PP1 for $150 so I went with that. I think either of them give the car a more aggressive look.
all factory shrouds angle out from the side so there is always air flowing through the whole radiator. the idea of it is to force the fan to pull air through the radiator and not pull the air in from the sides of the fan. If the shroud is tight against the radiator it's stopping a lot of airflow.
From the picture of the fan, Is the shroud completely flat against the radiator and the only place for air to come through is at the fan? If so it may be worth pulling the shroud off. That way when cruising it will be using the whole radiator.
Looking for updates if anyone has had a chance to port their 15-17 manifold. I was thinking of doing some work on mine to match the throttle body and intake ports along with smoothing it out.
Just figured I'd show off the pedal spacer I made. I was going to use a spacer but I agree with Shogun. The boss is only a little over a 1/2" so no need for a 1" spacer especially if it doesn't fit in the carpet hole.
They need to clean the rims really good. I use rubbing alcohol or carb cleaner. On my race bikes we were always required to put duct tape over them to hold them on also.
I may be unrelated to your issue being you have a stock clutch. I recently put in a clutch with one side of the friction plate being ceramic. As it broke in the shudder was getting worse. I was extremely gentle on it for about the first 1500 miles. I finally was fed up and took off at 5000...
A few weeks ago my stock clutch came apart on a high rpm shift. I was a little surprised being the car has only 22000 miles and hasn't really been abused. When I dropped the transmission it was easy to tell what the problem was.
In my opinion the clutch could of had a better design. I don't...
