I have a 17 and the 15-17s are the superior front fascia. I’ll die on that hill.
I’d prefer more stock to modified while buying. I’ve modified my S550 and have taken great pride in doing things properly and with great thought. Potential buyers won’t appreciate it anyways and I don’t blame them...
Going to soften the rear bar, no adjustable struts, my rear camber is adjustable via BMR UCAs. I’m up to ~-1.7 on the rear end.
More might be better for grip purposes but I think -1.7 is on the money for me for some backroad fun/freeway/joy ride use. The rear end is wearing perfectly evenly!
I’d love to do an MP4S, but the MPSS is the only tire that has the matching sizes for the GT350 wheels (I know alternatives in aspect ratio’s exist, but I’m trying to keep the factory sizing!).
The rears are on track to wear evenly in about 20k, my fronts are damn near brand new looking and I’d...
I’m going to get a reading and ask my tech for .05 deg toe on the front without worrying about further camber adjustment. This would be a .02/.03 increase from last time.
Trying to save a buck on this, custom alignment requests aren’t cheap!
I think you’re very right, softening the sway bar will probably help alleviate some of the oversteer I experience. I do need track time to really either take advantage of the bars adjustability or realize (via experience), that a factory rear bar is what I need as a driver.
However, it doesn’t...
Pull under car plastics and blast the whole thing with degreaser and wipe clean.
Then let it idle and watch everything very closely with it running/off for any signs of leaks.
I have all the stock parts to flip flop, if my understanding is correct the BMR bars are similar to factory at the soft setting while being lighter due to the tubular construction.
Read my mind exactly from one of my earlier posts this thread. I agree i’ll have to tweak that.
Definitely not going back to stock, poly bushing squeaks make me feel like a racecar driver :cwl:
That’s incredible tire life. I might ask for just the wee extra bit of toe next time.
I’m guessing I knocked my alignment out and just need to get one done. It’s been over 2 years actually.
You’ve got some toe out!
go hit a good shop, pay the extra coin, and request slight toe in or 0 toe. That should help your tire wear out.
Your camber matches mine almost exactly. It will bias wear on the inner portion of the wheel but the rapid shoulder wear we are seeing is unusual. That...
Copy that, how’s your tire life? What tires do you have?
I’m considering taking a string alignment reading in my garage to confirm suspicions and then shifting my subframe over ~1/4in to fix some tire poke aesthetics before heading into the shop.
I use steeda's camber plates up front for a few degrees of adjustability and BMRs UCA in the rear. Some camber is good for handling.
My suspicions and the posts above point at your toe as the culprit. Although “green” .27 deg toe in is quite a bit.
And/Or - it seems like even in-spec toe out on some cars has caused less than preferable tire wear.
This is all said understanding that toe out provides desirable driving dynamics for those that want it!
