That site shows an order date of 1st April, so a build date of 17th June would be pretty quick. There's no window sticker, which usually appears about a week before scheduled build date so looks like it's not getting built in June. Question then becomes when the final MY2019 build date will be...
Not that rare, and supposedly the best-selling sports car in Europe! Quite a few around where I live, and I get the impression that every second car in Yorkshire is a Mustang :)
Paddle extenders have just arrived from Germany (ordered on Fleabay) - hopefully get a chance to stick them on and try them out later...which I did! Seem like decent quality and came with a couple of sets of 3M tape cut to shape (handy as it's a bit fiddly and I screwed up my first attempt)...
I think we all like to stay alive, but I don't think doing more than 70 mph really counts as an extreme sport! Hanging out with the 18-wheelers seems a tad more dangerous than going with the flow... Each to their own I guess.
And there are plenty of old trucks dumping oil and hydraulic fluid on a regular basis (based on experience of it being dumped on our driveway whenever we've had skips delivered or builders on site)
And only £300,000 - with the few thousand quid a year saving on petrol it should pay for itself in about a century.... And as for the 200 mile range with a 64 kWh battery pack...a phrase involving monkeys and butts springs to mind.
+1
Australian rules were changed back in 2007 to align with European rules - speedo can never under-read, and most it can over-read is +10%+4km/h. So at a real 100 km/h, the speedo can legally be anywhere between 100-114 km/h.
Unless you've changed the rear tyre size I'd expect the speedo to over-read - certainly with cars sold in Europe they're not allowed to under-read so manufacturers build in a fudge-factor to allow for tread-depth, snow-chains, etc. Comparing mine against the GPS speed reading on my dash-cam...
Allegedly, Mark Twain said: "The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco."
He'd obviously never been to Scotland! :)
But seriously, the min temperature for summer tyres seems to be 7C in all markets. Maybe the compounds vary, but if they did you expect that to also...
Totally agree. Even by evo standards, this month's issue is very pro-manual and auto-is-the-spawn-of-Satan so maybe Towler is just being "on message". I think the A10 is pretty good, certainly at least on a par with the ZF 8-speed in my wife's BM and the Merc 7-speed in her previous cars.
It must be compound differences. I had PZero runflats on my Vette (when Pirelli briefly sold them in Europe in the right size!) and they were brilliant in the wet and cold, whereas the MPSS runflats I had on it were absolutely lethal (but very hard-wearing....!)
There's a new addition to the evo fast fleet this month: an MY19 GT fastback. Initial impressions are very positive apart from negative comments about the A10 box he doesn't have in his car!
So... According to the govt web-site, the maximum noise level permitted since 2016 is 74dB...and according to their data the GT is certified at...74dB! Presumably that's in quiet mode, or AM need to get a new noise meter as I'm sure they were reading well into the 80s and above with stock...
The whole thing holds about as much water as a Boris Johnson policy. The original article gave the impression it was a country-lane kind of thing but also talked about lack of people to enforce it - fixed cameras probably wouldn't generate enough money, mobile cameras need plod to operate them...
Apparently the DoT is starting a 7 month trial of "acoustic cameras" to catch noisy vehicles. Supposedly aimed at motorbikes (and maybe Mamils with loud voices?) but Chris Grayling's comment about "boy racers IN souped up vehicles" suggests the net may be cast wider. After all, how are they...
Finally decided to buy a dash cam (Nextbase 612GW) after just avoiding a head-on collision with a twunt in a pickup on the way home today. I live on a country lane that we managed to get reduced to 30mph a few years ago due to accidents. Final bend before my drive is completely blind and just...
