Ordered a "take off" PP strut brace on eBay for about £150 shipped and duty paid...and some grinder attachments for my drill (at £150 I'm willing to risk some amateur metalwork!). Like the fact it doesn't have a Ford logo on it - free logos are bad enough, but paying nearly £400 for one on the...
i dunno - kind of like it as I used to drive a Vette so used to having Corvette stamped in the the rear panel! I'm generally happy with anything that doesn't have a Ford logo on it (e.g. prefer the standard PP strut brace to the GT350R version because of the lack of logo).
Or even try your friendly neigbourhood mobile air-con outfit. Mine charged £80 for the Vette, did the leak test, and put some dye in to be on the safe side.
Based on previous experience of Vettes, they'll bring it in in a high spec and the entry price will be nearer £100K than £75k - especially as the RHD elephant is no longer in the room. They'll probably get a lot of new punters in them and lose some of the trad Vette buyers. For me, whichever...
Yep. And in Sport and especially Sport+ mode, everything happens in the first 1/3 to 1/2 pedal movement, at which point you're at full throttle. Depends what you want, but I prefer longer throttle travel so it's easier to modulate - if I want full throttle, it doesn't really take much longer...
I think a lot of it is down to a lack of awareness, both of what's going on around them and also the impact their driving has on other road users. Many (most?) people think that they can drive because they passed their test and don't understand/care that all they learned was the basic...
Disclaimer: I'm old and spent a lot of time too near speaker stacks in my youth.... (ZZ Top in Nov 1983, Leeds University refectory - I kid you not! - with the same sound system they used in US stadiums probably doing most of the damage :-)
I can barely hear a ticking noise on the video, and...
These are on Amazon UK, but maybe also available on Amazon US.
The ones I ordered were: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071S8YNLF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you just want the "double size" ones, you can get a set of 6 but that leaves you with twice as many as you...
Didn't want to use up boot (trunk) space for storing small stuff, so found these drawer organisers on Amazon that fit perfectly in the spare wheel well.
Mine was a hybrid version - got a deal from Trustford Dagenham through Carwow on a custom order, delayed by the steering wheel issue, so they found me a car in the same spec in another dealer's stock.
Based on my own experience ordering an MY19, the window sticker is the first thing to appear and usually appears about a week before the scheduled build (blend) date. Etis only seems to be updated when your car is actually built. So, for example, my car had an estimated build of 21st Jan...
I'm sure there's a thread on the main forum somewhere, but from memory:
Colour changes: Ruby Red, Ingot Silver and NFG replaced by new colours
Seats: Passenger seat only gets 4-way electric adjustment versus 6-way on the MY19 (so seat base up/down as a whole rather than front and back...
Ah, Mk2 Escorts... I had an 1100 Pop Plus with a 1300 engine. Most fun was after they resurfaced the roads on our estate by laying a layer of chippings on them - aka gravel stage! Powerslides (with about 60 bhp!) at 20 mph :)
Which is one of the reasons I went for a car from stock when my custom order was delayed. If you follow the US order threads, Ford is useless at custom orders - US dealers order loads of stock and most people buy dealer-ordered cars off the lot. It makes no sense waiting 6 months for a mass...
One thing that leaps out from the photo is the "5.0" badge doesn't look straight. Could be nothing, but worth checking the fender for any obvious signs of repair/replacement.
Sadly most of the dealers don't seem to be very well informed. Have you asked your dealer to check stock at other dealers? When my custom order was delayed they tracked down an identical spec car (apart from colour) at another dealer, which I bought. Based on the German site, my custom order...
Done about 1600 miles (2500 km) in my '19 GT convertible auto. Initially in S all the time, latterly in D, mix of give-and-take country roads and some motorway going with the flow. I've averaged 21 mpg (13.5 l/100km) - based on trip with AFE bias corrected to match brim-to-brim calculations...
So, after a few months of ownership I've homed in on different settings.... Autobox is just to frantic in S, and makes the car sound like it's trying too hard. So now I run with the box in D, which not only calms things down but sounds much more muscle-/pony-car when it skips gears away from...
Alternative approach is to see if the dealer can find a suitable car in another dealer's stock. My original Ingot Silver special order was delayed by the steering wheel issue, so my dealer found me an identical spec car in Ruby Red that I went for instead. You'd be surprised how many cars are...
Finally sorted out the passenger door mirror, inspired by the instructions in https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/how-to-fix-the-passenger-mirror.62599/ (I used about 3mm of washers). Found the thread from a link over at MOCGB, where someone was trying to fix the same problem and finally...
