I’ve been using VP octanium lately. The purple can off road can. Is Octanium safe? Or should I only be using Torco? Autozone sells Octanium, so it’s easy to get.
Just wanted to share some dyno data. I have a Whipple Gen 4 Stage 2, 3.75 pulley, BBK headers w/ racing midpipe, MBRP exhaust. I made 702 whp with Whipple tune with headers. Made 740whp after dynotune. Very happy with the Whipple.
Car was completely stock the first 25,000 miles of its life. Whipple had only been installed 2000 miles ago. I have put my heart and soul into this beautiful Mustang. I bought it in May with 25,900 from the original owner, who was a 78 year old Vietnam vet, who I assure you babied this car...
Hmm. I’m going to have to check it out. I hope that’s the problem. It’s crazy because it sounds like the dust shield. But it’s not touching anything. Like I said, it’s not the correct dust shields for my car, but they never made a noise before the suspension was installed. Maybe because...
No I haven't. I'm pretty upset at the shop now too. He's telling me, "How do I know that sound wasn't there before the install?" He said he's not going to spend hours tracing a sound, but It it's definitely a new sound. So when I take it back to him on Thursday, I need to have some good...
Hey guys
I still haven't figured out what this metallic spinning noise is. It's coming from the front left wheel area, and only when I turn right. It doesn't happen when I brake. I noticed I hear it for a split second when I hit small bumps in the road. I had steeda pro-action shocks and...
I’m still using the stock 4 piston dust shield. I installed the Brembos without the PP shields. It’s been checked twice and it’s not touching anything. I may just have them removed. I can’t think of anything else. Maybe a bearing? It only started making the noise after my suspension was...
Hey guys,
I just my steeda suspension installed. Pro action shocks and struts. Lower control arm bearings. Camber plates. Cradle lockout kit. Toe to knuckle bearings. Rear toe links. After install, there’s now a metallic spinning noise coming from the front left wheel area only when I turn...
I have to ask the shop. It’s a shop that specializes in only suspension. Although they mostly do trucks. They did everything at once yesterday: steeda proaction shocks/struts, ultralite springs, steeda camber plates, Steeda LCA bearings, FP toe to knuckle bearing, BMR cradle lockout, FP rear...
A stage 2 Whipple is on the way. Just called them 3 days ago. They said it’s shipping out in 2 weeks. How much will that bring down the front? It’s like 150 pounds.
I just had Steeda pro action non adjustable shocks with ultralite lowering springs. The drop should be 1.25 in the front, and 1” in the rear. The rear looks about an inch lower than the front. The rear looks too low. Or maybe the front just isn’t low enough. A shop did it, the rears are not...
Thanks for the info, my MBRP 16” resonators came yesterday. Sounds like they should be perfect with the catless BBK headers. Will probably get them installed same time as the Whipple.
I just ordered BBK headers to go with my stage 2 Whipple. I have an MBRP street exhaust. I haven’t ordered my mid pipe yet, but I think I’m going Catless. I already ordered 16” Mbrp resonators to kill the rasp and a bit of The volume. Would adding an X-Pipe muffler along and welding the...
I sure hope my 285s are a bit better than the 255s that we’re in it. It’s gripping incredibly around corners. I have Falken Azenis FK510s on it. I do wish I would have gotten 11’s in the rear though.
